Duck Hunt: CNN Fabricates New Phil Robertson Controversy
Breitbart's Big Journalism ^ | January 2, 2014 | John Nolte

Posted on 01/02/2014 7:26:59 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

Even though CNN's phony controversy hasn't even been able to pick up traction at MSNBC, that hasn't stopped the left-wing cable news network from attempting to manufacture more trouble for Phil Robertson and "Duck Dynasty." But why would we expect anything less from the same network that fabricated evidence to frame a working-class Hispanic man?

The CNN report below, covering Robertson's humorous relaying of marriage advice, is taken ultra-seriously by the CNN correspondent, and asks, "What is the tipping point to getting kicked off the air?"

(VIDEO-AT-LINK)

Does CNN not hear the crowd laughing? It is obvious that Robertson is going for laughs. That doesn't mean he isn't trying to make a point (his wife was 16 when they married) but there is no question he is performing and exaggerating to entertain a crowd that is entertained.

Good heavens, it is so controversial that a happily married and successful man would suggest others follow his same path!

Glaringly missing from that CNN report is Robertson adding "Check with Mom and Dad about that, of course." "That" being marrying as a teenager.

Another fact CNN leaves out of its hit-piece is that with parental permission, in more than ten states, teenagers as young as 15 can marry.

In the media capitol of the world, New York, teenagers as young as 14 can marry.

In the state of Georgia, where CNN is headquartered, teenagers can marry at 16...

CNN has a politcal and socila agenda that has nothing to do with reporting news.
They run a relentless daily attack on Conservatives, Christians, Americans.

I agree. Maybe Phil gets a kick out of getting these MSM types going on nothing.

The commies in the state controlled “media” don’t give a hoot about the fags or 15 year old girls. They are after the Robertson family because of the family’s strong belief in G-d and love of traditional American values. PERIOD!

Maybe the problem is the bolded word - teenagers. For us it means someone who is not quite an adult. To them it is also a code word for blacks. Replace the word 'teenager' with the word 'black' and they would be thoroughly scandalized. Add 40 points to their IQ and they might recognize the use of the term 'teenager' in the ordinary sense.

Okay, okay. Add 60 points.

..And nothing pisses off those effete metros in the “media” more than a resounding victory for the forces of good, such as that which we saw last week.

The spin on the lefty blogs is he’s “advocating for pedophilia”.

Ignoring that he was talking to boys. An 18 year old that is dating a 16 year old isn’t a pedophile.

Words have meanings despite their best efforts.

Anybody ever hear of triangulation?

Ive never seen the show and probably never will cause I'm just to damn busy to watch TV.

From my perspective, as an TV outsider, it seems this is a loser issue for Conservatives.

Conservatives are generally people of faith. However, the ways we chose to practice our faith vary by denomination and person. All condemn the exploitation of a child. But what is a child? the 28 year old living in their parent's basement or a 16 year old girl? or a 18 year old boy?

This is an issue because the Libs see a crack in the Conservative mainstream and they are doing everything to exploit it.

Choose our battles carefully..and ignore this one

I tend to agree. I think that this situation could get increasingly embarrassing, and we might be best off quietly backing off from it rather than making huge fools of ourselves. I’m not saying to throw him under the bus( I hate that expression but it fits here) but just quietly back off from the whole thing. I began to get concerned before his marriage remarks— I began to get concerned when I heard about his race comments. Meanwhile, there’s a lesson here—don’t get in a really big hurry to take sides in this stuff if you haven’t given it some thought and may need to know more.

You know, back in the pioneer days of our country, people married young (14-16 for girls) all the time. When a woman goes through puberty, physically she’s ready. And back in those days, you were busy starting families early, as people croaked young too. Good chance you could die in your 40’s, and if you made it to old age, you were incredibly lucky.

Folks had to get going, get families, and live life early as you died early. And you thus grew up fast, rather than have the prolonged adolescence like our young folks currently experience. We keep our teens in an infantile state for way too long a period of time. Heck, they can be on mommy and daddy’s insurance now until age 26. Geez, what a bunch of wusses our current society has created.

I remember a couple years in school (5th & 6th) where I went to a school that was 1st-12th grades. It was a small school with one room for each grade level. I remember that all the girls married right after HS, as it was a farming community. Many of my HS friends married in June, a week or so after we graduated. They were mainly 17, going on 18. My mother was 16, and in her age group, most were married then. My mother-in-law was 14. She eloped. Was 19 before she had her first child, so it wasn’t because she had to. However, when you think of the age girls are first having sex...about 12 years old on the average, marriage at 16 hardly seems weird. I’d almost rather my daughter married as a virgin at 16 than become sexually active at age 12 and have had dozens of sexual encounters by age 16. But the left encourages 12 year olds to become active and remain active. What is their outrage? Where is the outrage that a 12 year old child is molested? The age gets younger all the time. Soon pedophilia will not include anyone over the age of 2!
