People waited in line for as long as seven hours in wind chill readings as low as 19 degrees below zero to pick up donated toys for their children and grandchildren the morning of Christmas Eve.
Academy Award-winning actress and singer Jennifer Hudson, a Chicago native, hosted her fifth annual toy drive at the Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center Chicago in the West Pullman neighborhood. Robinette Williams, a spokeswoman for the Julian D. King Gift Foundation, said the organization expected to serve 6,000 children from across the Chicago area.

Thanks for nothin', Jennifer! What nerve! Making us wait in line in the cold for free stuff!
They get up at 2 am to get free stuff but not for a job?
And they'll spend money on nail manicures and hair weaves but not presents for their kids. Of course Jennifer Hudson isn't giving away free manicures and weaves!

Can you imagine the cat fight if she did?

Local mug shots

Meanwhile in Anacostia, Barry Farms,. Washington DC somebody shot Santa Claus 2 times in the back with a pellet gun.
Sadly these parents take no pride in even providing a couple of gifts once a year for their children. I see tons of razor scooters and nice gently used kids bikes at garage sales for $5-$10. Just pick one up in the summer and store it away. Maybe someone who got one free this year can pass it down to a smaller child next year. We are literally turning 10s of millions of people into mindless takers.
Wow. The first mug to pop up belonged to Qawmane Wilson for home invasion and murder. Seems he arranged the killing of his own mother (owner of "Nappy Headzsalon") to gain access to her bank account and life insurance.
Says many of them were waiting but grew impatient and annoyed that it was so disorganized? Really?
How about they organize their own lives so they can their own toys for their own kids based their own efforts?
Looks like a who’s who of Obama’s people.
That train has already left the station. They have now morphed into mindless demanders. And they spend their time on not doing what it takes to survive, working to obtain food shelter, and clothing as we do, but in obtaining and using illegal drugs. They demand quite successfully that we deprive our children and families to support them in their lifestyle. And for doing that, we receive not their admiration and respect, but their contempt and loathing.
Too true. We have a “backpack drive” every year in Jacksonville (FL ) where companies donate money for school supplies for poor children. Sounds good (at least momma can’t steal it!) but it’s nasty. They fight over their place in line and there’s also a lot of cheating.
Virtually everybody who shows up is black, with the exception of a few hugely overweight white girls from the country, and it’s sort of dysfunction on parade. Charity should focus on job and self-respect training. If the parents are on welfare, in many cases they already get a back to school grant. If they’re not, there should be some discreet private way of providing assistance.
But having black women run out and fight each other for charity from corporations because there are no longer any jobs should make the “black community” get out there and demand Obama’s head.
And you'd better not make them wait either!
I did like this little nugget tucked away in the center of the article:
In other words, it turned chaotic. Imagine that?
“I see tons of razor scooters and nice gently used kids bikes at garage sales for $5-$10.”
The grandparents will do this but the parents often won’t. They feel they should have only the best. I’ve often read stories about how grandma’s will go buy used clothing for their grandbabies and the mom’s will buy expensive clothing, with welfare money, for their babies. No common sense.
However I fear that generation of grandma will die out and when this generation of mom becomes grandma’s they too will want only the “best” for their grandbabies. Hard to say though.
That the irony.
What “skul” supplies aren’t provided by the gubmint? For what do they need charity or a grant?
