House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) says he was pushed into this fight to defund Obamacare and that those who pushed him never really thought it would work.
In his weekly press conference yesterday, Rep. Boehner said defunding Obamacare wasnt his idea, but that of conservative groupsand he doesnt care what they do next.

[snip] The imminent expiration of the Emergency Unemployment Compensation program for 1.3 million Americans is mostly being treated as a fait accompli in Washington... (Dems have created an interactive map showing how many people in each state stand to lose benefits.)... This strategy includes placing Op ed pieces by Democrats in papers that serve the districts of top Republicans, such as this one by Rep. Sander Levin in the Cleveland Plain-Dealer, the largest paper in John Boehners home state. The game plan is granular: One Democrat points out to me that stats are available on how many would lose benefits on the county level, and that Dems are trying to push these numbers into the coverage, because it is tangible for people in local communities. [/snip]
This is why I listen Mark Levin. I like being six months ahead of the curve.
And there’s the sign! LOL!
Does anyone at all think it might have been “his idea?”
He really IS a conservative, in a way, he is determined to “conserve” all of the past and future Democrat/Socialist gains.
I never exclude the possibility, but the likelihood would mean that he intended to use it to undermine the Tea Party anyhow.
Let’s hope he’s history after the next election.
“It CAN’T be my idea. I NEVER have any ideas. I always ask Nancy for ideas.”
Yep. The Cryer really showed he is a horses ass.
Most are jellyfish or just plain cowards. They are a stench in the nose of honest and strong men.
I prefer the one syllable, one symbol, one idea expressed as
One syllable
One symbol
One idea
Monsterous debt, runaway spending, misused funds, abused giveaways and outright fraud
Leviathon bureaucracies, spaghetti laws, nebulous- burgeoning-overbearing regulations
Imperial presidency, entrenched legislature, perpetual incumbency, arrogant bureaucrats
Runaway government, runaway government, runaway government
We already know what you are crybaby. No explanation needed.
He has never expressed such disgust and animus at Obama/ Reid/Pelosi and surrogates...the real arcitects of American decline.
How do we explain this contradiction?
Simple: It is not the interests of Conservative Grass Roots Americans that Boener and the republicans are serving. No, they are serving and protecting the interests of their private clique known as the republican party.
This explains the timid strategy regards Obama and ObamaCare.
Republican Party is not focused on restoring and protecting Free Markets, Individual Liberty, Separation of Powers, Limited Government...they are focused on getting themslves and their inner circle of Republican Comrades re-elected.
We are supposed to assume that restoration of power to republicans, means restoration of conservative traditional American values. But it doesn't.
Dems and repubs are 2 sides of the same coin.
Boeners angry tirade against the Tea Party clearly illustrates who he believes is his real enemy.
Maybe “they” ARE building those camps somewhere and capitulation keeps one and one’s family out of said camps...or maybe it’s just the threat of public humiliation. The whole situation is odd.
Hey Tammy we know. You have had to be pushed into every action of integrity since you became Speaker. Your natural prediliction is to sell out. Its no secret.
You don’t make any sense.
Neither Cantor or Ryan are any better than Boehner. As much as I hate to admit it...we need another Speaker like Newt. Newt had his shortcomings (personal life) but he was one of the most effective speakers ever...imho. Yes, Ted Cruz would be ideal and if this is his decision...whoRay. But he just might want to try for a step above and forgo the chair entirely. Mike Lee, Jason Chaffetz, are two more being closely watched for signs of possible greatness. And let’s not forget Tim Scott. Our first Black Speaker? He has great potential. Awaiting Allen West’s return and anticipate great things for him as well.
This d-bag cannot go soon enough to suit me.
