I cannot believe what I am living through.
I sincerely thought we were beyond this evil, dumb me.
Sadly, I think it’s been “respectable” in DC for a long time.
Here's my problem.
The claim is that even a discussion of the extent of Jewish influence on American policy supposedly constitutes anti-Semitism. This influence is, or should be, a question of fact.
To my mind this taboo against discussing actual Jewish influence in politics was merely an early example of political correctness, going back long before it became verboten to even bring up other political issues.
A very major factor in "Jewish political influence" not mentioned here is the very strong support for Israel among many Christian conservatives. Certainly this accounts for a LOT more votes than those of the Jews, though possibly not a lot more in campaign funding. Possibly this doesn't get mentioned because it makes most liberals and Jews very uncomfortable.
To my mind, Jewish influence in politics and society should be as open for discussion as for any other group. But I guess that POV makes me anti-semitic.
Actually a good number of American Jews are not too bright or just living in the Obama bubble of “Never/Never Land”!!! Just as the German Jews and Jews throughout eastern Europe, etc. believed Hitler & Company would not really harm them, they laid back, and let events and history take its course!!! Certainly.....Hitler and his ilk plannedd from day one to eliminate the Jews enmasse!!! Sadly, this story looks to be repeated here in the USA & Israel!!! Obama and the Democrat Party are no friends of “any” Jews!!! Go figure!!! End of story!!!
What this letter amounts to is recognition of the commonsense idea that when Community A feels that its turf is being invaded by Community B, the less-controlled members of Community A may be expected to react with violence against perceived members of Community B.
This is basic human biology/psychology. Not that it justifies criminal behavior.
Too bad it can’t be similarly applied to “white Americans” who feel threatened as a community. Their feelings aren’t considered valid.
Appears that I posted this comment to the wrong thread.
Apologies.
Do they care that Israeli's are endangered by terrorism and threatened with nuclear attack?
“Liberals of Jewish heritage” would be more accurate...
Many of them are as anti-Israel as Farrakkkhan.
The new Democrat Fascist party is no different then the 1939 fascists in Germany, they are alliegned with radical Islam and at some point will march the good little Jews off to the ovens. That of course is after they test the ovens on the Tea Party.
Considering the blatant hatred of blacks which is appearing the internet, I’m surprised that open anti-Semitism isn’t creeping in as well.
Probably just a matter of time.
But can’t you see Barbra Streisand saying “I’m an American! Nothing can happen to me!” Sad, really.
The name of the book isn't mentioned, but this is it:
What did you expect?
Hillary is running her campaign on “The Third Way”.
Communism on the left is a failure, capitalism on the right is a failure.
We need a Third Way.
A Third Way were government and business work together.
Sound familiar?
That little turd with an half-assed mustache claimed the same thing in the 1930’s.
Just like 1930’s Germany they need a fall guy.
As if Reform Jews are even Jewish-by-practice, let alone Zionist.
Define "Jew".
No, seriously: what do you mean by the term?
Does "Jews" refer to an ethnic group, or to a group of people who practice a certain religion?
I suspect that there are a lot of people who identify themselves as "Jewish" who haven't darkened the door of a synagogue, read Torah, or refrained from eating ham in decades (if ever). To put them in the same category as those who keep kosher etc. is more than a bit silly.
IMO.
I’ve noticed a lot of anti-black prejudice lately, too.
I’ve also noticed some good reasons for it: disproportionate crime, disproportionate welfare, vile hatred acceptable in the culture, the knock-out game, Obama’s bigotry, Holder’s see-no-hate-crime DOJ.
I’m “fortunate” to see similar weaknesses in the American Jewish community that make me loathe prejudice against blacks -— not welfare or crime in Jewish communities, but absurd liberalism in the greater American Jewish community which disgusts me, and then I get mad at people who lump me (a very politically conservative Jewish man) in with the useless liberals.
I always try to remember there are conservative blacks just like I am a conservative Jew, and I treat them as conservatives until I know differently.
If I determine they are liberals . . . well, I pour disdain.
