I think it was Ben Franklin or Thomas Jefferson. It was a long time ago. It was in American History book, I think the lesson was about the importance of an independently informed citizenry.

And as far as I know, the complete verbiage was: In a Democracy, the people do not always get the Government they want, but they always get the Government they deserve.

Your argument is with them.

No such creature. That's why I'd have to have my fate decided by an American jury; Zimmermann came out unexpectedly ahead, but the jurors had second thoughts, and Zimmermann now seems self-destructive.
