Former Senator Ben Nelson (D-NE) reportedly received a stern phone call from the White House after he went on the air and warned Obamas reported fix to Obamacare. Nelson said insurance companies risk insolvency thanks to the fix.
"Under the rules of law of large numbers, which is what you get with actuarial science, the more people you have in the plan, generally the better the plan is. So excluding some people from the plan creates certain issues.
Also, the commissioners are focused on solvency. They want to make certain that this doesnt the cost to the point that the insurers face and risk insolvency."
The White House reportedly did not appreciate this warning and reportedly gave the former senator a call later in the day.

Guess Freedom of Speech now means ‘Freedom to Agree with Obama’.
FUBO, as they say...
Which one is more severe: a “stern phone call” or a “red line?”
I recall when obama put his hands on Lieberman and dragged him aside in the Senate just like a thug
All talk, no spine.
Well, they pissed all over the 1st Amendment to cover Benghazi.
“If you like your solvency, you can keep it. Period.”
Has there ever been a White House that literally threatens journalists and anyone else who dared questioned them in the press? I know Clinton sent the IRS after people who dissed him, but Obama is starting to make that look tame.
Throw a TARP over it.
Once people get the guts to stand up to the Obama machine, we, meaning America, can cast this swine to the curb.
Oh, the irony! Nelson was one of the Rats that got a kickback for his vote to pass the thing.
“Throw a TARP over it.”.......You suggesting one of those Police yellow tarps?
After a final 13-hour negotiation, Nelson’s support for the bill was won after two concessions: a compromise on abortion, modifying the language of the bill “to give states the right to prohibit coverage of abortion within their own insurance exchanges,” which would require consumers to pay for the procedure out-of-pocket if the state so decided; and an amendment to offer a higher rate of Medicaid reimbursement for Nebraska.[70][99] The latter half of the compromise was derisively referred to as the “Cornhusker Kickback”[100] and was later repealed by the subsequent reconciliation amendment bill.

The phone calls should get very interesting when very pro Israel Democrats begin to comprehend the significance of Obama’s new polices regarding Israel and Iran. There will be a rift with his most loyal supporters.
Won't happen. Try to make the case that this needs to be done now, by *any* means, gets your post deleted on FR. Even FReepers are worried about Obama. Might as well bend over and take it.
I hope Ben has grown a pair and told Val where to stuff it.
Ben Nelson will now be called former senator who voted for the ACA and RACIST.
Ah, yes, the Cornhusker Kickback.
No, there won't, at least not enough to matter. So long as there is the GOP, or more precisely the Tea Party conservatives, and the media to run cover for the DEMs, they won't implode. Not this time.
