No they are leaving because we lowered the tariffs. You could eliminate all taxes and regulations and you can’t compete with Chinese labor wages.
The tariffs worked well the first 190 years of our country’s existence. They would work well now. Though it will take some time to undo the damage that has been done.

I do not know where you heard that, but it really is the increasing regulation and the highest corporate taxation on the planet that is pushing jobs out of the country, not to mention out-of-control unions and lack of morals at the executive level of business.
Look at the European Union. That’s a no-tariff union, and yet most of the jobs that are in Germany stay in Germany. Tariffs are not the factor in play here.
