U.S. President Barack Obama never considered the idea of dropping Vice President Joe Biden from his 2012 re-election team and replacing him with Hillary Clinton, the White House said on Friday.
“Double Down,” a new book on the 2012 campaign, says Obama’s top aides considered the notion but decided not to pursue it because it did not materially improve Obama’s odds.
White House spokesman Jay Carney, pressed on the issue at his daily news briefing, did not deny that such an idea was floated within Obama’s re-election campaign. …

Every president evaluates the political positives and negatives about keeping their VP during a re-election campaign.
Chances are Biden has something that he holds over Obama’s head. With all his years in political office, I’m sure Biden knows all Obama’s secrets.
Which means they’re still thinking about it.

Zero would’ve been nuts to have replaced Plugs with Shrillary. He’d have never been able to get on an airplane for his second term (reference: Ron Brown).

Actually explains some things at the place where I’ve been working recently. Nebbish over-boss calls in under-boss who can’t threaten him because he lacks the capabilities. Both bosses call me in to work for them. Wonderful, no? Well, no. Bosses have chaotic management style and then wonder why I’m not hopping along at warp speed.
