That gave me a good chuckle, and led to this thought: right after not knowing anything about it, they stopped doing it.
Your Honor, the plaintiff alleges my client borrowed his bucket, and put a hole in it. We categorically deny that my client borrowed the bucket. Further, upon returning the bucket, we assert that there never had been a hole in it. We add, upon receiving the bucket, the hole was already there. Finally, the bucket and the hole was repaired at my client’s expense before returning it.
