WASHINGTON — Congressional Republicans conceded defeat on Wednesday in their bitter budget fight with President Obama over the new health care law as the House and Senate approved last-minute legislation ending a disruptive 16-day government shutdown and extending federal borrowing power to avert a financial default with potentially worldwide economic repercussions.

With the Treasury Department warning that it could run out of money to pay national obligations within a day, the Senate voted overwhelmingly on Wednesday evening, 81 to 18, to approve a proposal hammered out by the chamber’s Republican and Democratic leaders after the House on Tuesday was unable to move forward with any resolution. The House followed suit a few hours later, voting 285 to 144 to approve the Senate plan, which would fund the government through Jan. 15 and raise the debt limit through Feb. 7.

People have bought into the Karl Marx philosophy..people want whatever they can get their hands on for “Free.” You see the people storming Walmart when the EBT cards were not working, they took whatever they could get into their carts and ran out the door..these kind of people dont want jobs, they want freebies, they want to steal..probably laughed their way back home after getting all that loot..those are the kinds of people that vote Democrat

I think of the letter the citizens of Rock Ridge wrote to Governor Lepetomaine in Blazing Saddles...

So borrowing loosely from that....

“The fact that you voted for this goes to prove that you are the leading asshole in the Congress!”

All the RINOs must be voted out. It’s the only way I can see going forward.

We need to make the careerists fear Main Street. Many of them would have been Dems a generation ago but now find the GOP tent more comfy. Tighten the rope on those backbenchers and you have a workable conservative majority.

What’s the difference between these RINOs and the Dems?

The RINO’s are more effective with their rhetoric at keeping conservatives at bay?

I personally couldn’t care less if there’s a RINO or Dem occupying any seat in question. Because I personally don’t see any difference between the two, in terms of how they vote. Actually I might rather have the Dem, because there’s less rhetorical ambiguity.

Isn’t it interesting? On the GOP side 87 +/- for and 143 +/- against! Shows differing opinions in the GOP. BUT on the Dumbcrat side every last one of them voted in locked step according to what their leader told them. THAT is the problem with this country. Democrats can’t think for themselves!!!!!!!

Well, the chains that are going to come upon them will not rest lightly upon them. There’s a price to be paid for that kind of behavior, and it’s not sleeping.
