I wish I could get this suggestion from Townhall article to Boehner:

UPDATE - An obvious third possibility that I should have included above: The House passes a short-term, totally clean debt ceiling hike, and the shutdown goes on. Would the Senate or the president actually block such an action?

Of course the Senate and President would block that. Utter non-starter. I Prosecuted long enough to know when the other side has nothing but a bluff. You don’t ever fold to the bluffer. Boehner has nothing because he put himself into a position to have nothing and he could have had it all. Not too pleased with Cruz not being much more than a rabble-rouser but I digress.

I am sick of seeing good ideas fail because of inept GOP leaderhip. Yeah Rep Issa, that means you too.
