Nathan Bedford's first Maxim of American politics: all politics in America is not local but ultimately racial.

New Jersey is making its choice and it is not difficult to predict. That choice is not determined by equity or even by enlightened self-interest, rather it is determined by tribe.

I don't know how that plays out in New Jersey. You're basically looking at an election between two white guys.

One of the most comical scenes in recent political memory was the Democratic primary race for Newark mayor a few years ago, when Cory Booker eventually defeated incumbent Sharpe James. One of the key themes of James' campaign was that Booker -- a lawyer and Stanford graduate who grew up in a wealthy Bergen County suburb and whose parents were two IBM executives at the firm's headquarters in Westchester County -- wasn't "black enough" to be the mayor of Newark. ROFL.

Lonegan would be a long shot if this were the general election but he’s got a slim chance with this special election. Here’s hoping for a huge conservative turnout in Old Jersey-—make it New again.

True. It's not as if they have to get up to go to work, or anything like that.

While Lonegan realistically has about a 1% chance of winning this contest, it’s important to go through the motions of voting anyway.

Let’s go, Conservatives... we always demand conservative candidates and make the claim they’d win if they’d get nominated... well, in NJ today and in VA next month, here are the opportunities to put it all to the test. You can’t get more conservative than Lonegan and Cuccinelli. There is NO excuse for sitting at home this time. Turn out and vote... ALL HANDS are needed!

This will be a good test to see what our numbers really are.

Hard to tell. Conservatives should be pouring into the voting precincts today.

The “media” will try to suppress conservative voting by running bogus “exit polls” showing Booker leading by 20+. Don’t buy into it... vote anyway, just because it’s the right thing to do.

Well, it’s quite a stark difference from the presidential vote last year. I went to exact same place at the exact same time and it was packed with people.. And since this is Hoboken, it’s safe to assume that they were mostly liberals.

I think the enthusiasm from the liberal side for this election is not as great as it is on the conservative side. The MSM obviously wants us to believe otherwise...

It’ll be interesting to say the least.

GO JERSEY!
