A historical reference:
“If all else fails,
I will retreat up the valley of Virginia
to plant my flag on the Blue Ridge,
and rally around the Scotch-Irish of that region,
and make my last stand for liberty
amongst a people who will never submit to tyranny
whilst there is a man left to draw a trigger.”

Some places a lot. inters are cold there but milder in the valleys. I can't imagine Muslims ever being interested in being there or this region. The Somalis in Maine and Minnesota are city dwelling welfare rats put there by our ‘refugee’ Quislings. Arabs and their ilk have no stomach for really cold weather. Turks do but other than Germany they haven't seemed to feel the inclination to move to white countries. I can see several large ‘islands’ of traditional American culture (Appalachian region for instance, for one) as well as the NW emerging if current trends continue.

Millions of red-blooded Americans are becoming increasingly open to such ideas. Thanks for the details.

Interesting. What do people do for work there? Aye, there's the rub. A fair amount of agricultural work, not much in the way of amenities. I have an IT job to which I commute 120 miles on Sunday evening and back to paradise every Friday evening. I've done that for a decade. It's absolutely worth it but I don't have a wife and family to neglect.
The resort areas are little enclaves of liberalism but mostly they leave you alone (Sun Valley being a possible exception to that rule). We have had waves of back-to-the-earth types in past decades but they're usually out of here after the first winter. I recall pulling my ex-next-door neighbor's Escalade out of a ditch one late autumn - he returned to San Diego and never came back.
Frankly I really don't find winter that bad, at least not since I've taken up cannibalism. Your mileage may vary.

This is likely to end very poorly for many of “us”.
But “they” cannot win a war of attrition.
Recall Stockdale and Solzhenitsyn.
Imagine a dozen Chris Dorners in a dozen large cities who have the good sense to just stick to doing what needs to be done and keep their mouths shut.

More of the Mountain West inhabited (partially by Nazis (Aryan Nation et. al.)) by isolationists, tree choppers and a couple of decent Ski Areas.
You have a comic book idea of what North Idaho really is. Would you like to explain why you invoke this "Nazi(Aryan Nation et. al))" crap?

That's where they hung out. The Feds were all over them. Who wants the BATFE bugging you to saw off a shotgun barrel? Or bugging you about anything else? Better to live nearby in WA or much farther to the East(SE) in Wyo. or So. Dak.
I always enjoyed my times there. I'm looking at no Income Tax places.
I have no issues with the Idaho p/h, I may buy a (Smith) truck in Kellogg.

Interesting that GW went after the Whiskey Rebellers of Western PA.

I'm still looking for links to the folks who lived south of the (Sandpoint) Lake who were (as I recall) abused by the (local?) gov't.
(The Weavers not withstanding.)

Finman, 56, was to be tried this week in 1st District Court, but the prosecution and the defense negotiated a settlement that amended one of the counts and dismissed the other two.
The alleged victims in the case were unavailable testify at trial, according to Bonner County Prosecutor Louis Marshall. Marshall said the familys patriarch, a dyed-in-the-wool sovereign citizen, declined to let his wife and two children testify because he does not acknowledge the legitimacy of Idahos government.
Marshall called Finmans conduct reckless, criminal and inappropriate, but noted that nobody was hurt during the episode.
