House GOP Preparing to Give Up

I’m being told by several sources that Speaker Boehner and Majority Leader Eric Cantor are plotting to give up trying to either defund or delay Obamacare
I would hope the extension to the Debt limit have ONE RIDER that would fully fund VA and Veterans issues not covered in the last budget deal.
Funny how we always hear that the Republicans are fixing to cave, on immigration reform, on gun control, on the debt ceiling, on the shutdown, etc., etc. Yet, it never actually happens.
Boner and Cantor, the ED poster “boys,” ya think; just plain ole gutless and impotent traitors?
If Obama doesn't want it collapse, it won't. He will keep changing it on the fly, adding money, changing exemptions and so on. However, it will collapse at the right moment when it has sufficiently destroyed the US healthcare system in order to pave the way for single payer government health care. The only hope is to stop it now or Obama will have imposed a leftist dream on America and it will be used like the National Park Service arbitrary closures to punish America. Oppose the regime and your health care will suffer. Become enough of a pain and the system will be used to assure that you change your ways or worse.

I refuse to go along with a plan that will completely bankrupt society just in order to say “i told you so.” The time to fight is right now....not give in.

Some of you may dispute my statement, by saying (1) the Democrats are the greater of two evils, or (2) we must remain loyal to the national republicans so we can change it from within. Lots of luck folks - your dreams, hard work, money and enthusiasm will be wasted.
Let’s face it: our country as we knew it is doomed. Better to protect your families and loved ones in any way you can. Investing in politics is no longer a viable option, at least for this conservative. God bless.

You may be correct. Defunding Obamacare would let Obama off the hook for the mess that’s barely begun brewing. You can hear him now ... “It was going beautifully until those bad guys defunded it”.

You cannot fund a law that wasn’t passed.
The current Obama care was NOT passed.
The president does not have line item veto power.
Pass the law as it was written! Then let the chips fall where they may.
At this point, any Republican leader who caves won’t just be expelled from office. They would be looking at losing their citizenship and being exiled to Zimbabwe.
That’s a cute argument...but this is a systemic change. The more gets implemented, the more of the existing infrastructure is permanently destroyed. There’s no simple “undo” function to restore to what it was just last year.
