BUMP!
“Just how small this administration is, and how skewed its priorities, is shown by the grocery stores that Bloomberg News found closed on Army bases while the golf course at Andrews Air Force base southeast of Washington, D.C., remained open.
Air Force Capt. Lindy Singleton, chief of public affairs for the 11th Wing at Andrews, says the golf course is open because it is financed by user fees. Surely there are enough tax dollars still flowing into the Treasury to let soldiers buy groceries on base with their own money.
Commissaries are also closed, forcing troops and their families to shop at local stores that cost about 30% more, Lt. Gen. Raymond Mason, the Army’s deputy chief of staff for logistics, said last week at a House hearing.”
