Barilla: ‘Gays can eat someone else’s pasta’

Anger is boiling over at the chairman of the Barilla pasta company after he vowed to only feature heterosexual couples in commercials — and added that anyone offended by his anti-gay stance could buy a different brand of noodles.

Guido Barilla told Italian radio on Wednesday that he would never use a gay family to promote the world’s leading brand of pasta, according to The Guardian.

“For us the concept of the sacred family remains one of the basic values of the company,” Barilla said. ”I would not do it but not out of a lack of respect for homosexuals who have the right to do what they want without bothering others…[but] I don’t see things like they do and I think the family that we speak to is a classic family.”

Exceptional Mac and Cheese

1 cup extra sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup Velveeta cut into cubes
1/4 lb salted butter
1/4 cup milk, preferably whole milk
season to taste

Boil noodles as directed on box..
Drain pasta, and quickly add all ingredients, mix until completely melted, and serve..

Brilliant of course, Carlo. Try, then, the Campanelle, where the tubular form opens up like a flower to admit the coating of the gooey velveeta sauce throughout. My favorite recipe is Patrick o’Connels using aged Gouda with Virginia ham garnish. Lol. Too apropos to this thread.

cant see that it is organic. Too bad.

By the time the grain gets to the pasta stage, it isn't "organic" anymore anyway.

Who cares?

I had never sampled a Chik-Fil-A until that kerkuffel, but they've become a regular for me. I'm not the only one for sure, so I wonder how much Chik's business has increased ?

More biz coming Barilla's way.

For such a small fraction of the population, they’re a large percentage of the voice that gets heard.

WOW! We all think alike.

My nephew is a Alfredo sauce lover over penne, liguini, fettucini - and since Barilla works best, that’s what I buy.

anti homosexual, er NY Post it’s not anti anything, it’s business and most people in the world and this country do not agree with your north east homosexual agenda.

Good for Barilla, think I’ll that brand now.

Who the hell wants to see two men acting as if it were normal to be a couple knowing they get off with feces

I keep hearing form the loons of the left and especially the homosexuals that tolerance is needed but it seems their tolerance only is a one way street.

We need more of this from companies

Here’s a great recipe I stole from Carraba’s. I went home one night and figured it out.

Blanch and skin 8 Roma tomatoes and quarter them.

Put a little olive oil in a sauce pan and put in two gloves of chopped garlic. Don’t burn it.

Add the tomatoes, include the juice, and salt and pepper to taste. Cover and let it simmer while the pasta is starting to boil. Boil the pasta for about 7 minutes then drain it and add it to the tomatoes. At this point and 5 or 6 leaves of chopped Basil. Put the lid back on for a few minutes then serve.

This will served two people a huge portion.

This is the best pasta dish I’ve ever had.

Coward. Just once. Just once I would love for a company not to cave in to the fearmongers. It’s pasta for pity sakes. Buy it. Don’t buy it. I don’t care. I’m just looking forward to the day when gays stop trying to make everything about them.
