Former Congressman Allen West is leaving his job at Pajamas Media after an altercation with a female staffer in which he allegedly called her a “Jewish American princess,” BuzzFeed learned on Thursday.
“In order to focus on political interests, Allen West will transition from his full-time role as director of programming for Next Generation.TV to a twice-a-month contributor of written commentary on PJMedia.com, effective October 1, 2013,” PJ Media financier Aubrey Chernick wrote to staff in an email from September 16. “I wanted our staff and consultants to have this information first. However, PJ Media is not announcing this publicly for several weeks, so please do not share this news with anyone outside of the company until you see our public announcement.”
In a message to staff, West wrote: “Shortly, I will be giving up my position as director of programming at Next Generation.TV to get back on the front lines to expand the message of constitutional conservatism across our country.”
Two sources familiar with what happened told BuzzFeed that West had gotten into an argument with a female employee and called her a “Jewish American princess” while telling her to “shut up.”
Reached by phone, West told BuzzFeed he was leaving his job voluntarily, though one source familiar with the situation told BuzzFeed he had been fired. He did not deny that an exchange with the employee had occurred, but said it hadn’t led to his leaving the company.
“No I didn’t get fired,” West said. “I’m leaving to pursue political aspirations. That’s it. There’ll be a statement that comes out and it’s effective in October.”
Asked specifically whether he referred to the employee as a “Jewish American princess,” West said simply, “There was an exchange, that’s all.”

There are, or at least there used to be conservative Jewish-American princesses. Back in the George Deukmejian era, there were a couple of prominent conservative JAPs in LA who rose to prominence as foes of forced busing. However, they both aspired to the same higher office.
It is said that when two JAPs get into a fight, they go all out. That's what happened to these two. Their bitter conflict alienated Republican primary voters and allowed an ultra-leftist whose last name rhymes with that of the former chairman of the Chinese Communist Party to get the nomination. He went on to lose.
My son dated a Jewish American princess for a couple of years. Spoiled, spoiled, spoiled and demanding as all get out. The Easter and Jesus jokes were a bit much, too.

Same here. I’ve known more than a few and every time they have not only earned the title they sought it out in their own way.

I’m a Jew and think this is hilarious. If Col. West called her a JAP, she probably is. One of West’s closest friends (and former Chief of Staff) is Joyce Kaufman, a proud Jew and anti-Muslim (and illegal alien) activist. I know them both. West does not have an anti-Semitic bone in his body. They should fire the staffer.

I also have to argue that their own spoiled momies contribute to this mind virus that is inflicted upon them.

When asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, my young daughter responed, “A Princess!”. I guess it is good work if you can get it.
But this same daughter outruns her peers and wins or places in one mile to five K organized runs so she is not above pouring it on.
My wife is crazy about high heels and keeping an expensive collection of same. She hates to see women dressed “like men” as she had to do when she worked in restaurants as a hostess or waitress.
