During his Tuesday remarks at the Clinton Global Initiative, President Obama admitted that his health care law raises taxes: “So what we did — it’s paid for by a combination of things. We did raise taxes on some things.”
“Some things” is an understatement. Below is just a partial list of Obamacare’s new or higher taxes on Americans:
Starting in tax year 2013:
Obamacare Medical Device Tax: Medical device manufacturers employ 409,000 people in 12,000 plants across the country. Obamacare imposes a new 2.3 percent excise tax on gross sales – even if the company does not earn a profit in a given year. In addition to killing small business jobs and impacting research and development budgets, this will make everything from pacemakers to artificial hips more expensive.
Obamacare High Medical Bills Tax: Before Obamacare, Americans facing high medical expenses were allowed a deduction to the extent that those expenses exceeded 7.5 percent of adjusted gross income (AGI). Obamacare now imposes a threshold of 10 percent of AGI. Therefore, Obamacare not only makes it more difficult to claim this deduction, it widens the net of taxable income.

My dentist says that he pays an obamacare tax on every purchase for his business...even tho obamacare doesn’t cover dental.
The truth is that Obama doesn’t even know what is in Obamacare any more than Nancy Pelosi and most of the other democrats who passed.
It was written by lobbyists and leftist senate staff members with the objectives of expanding federal government control of the citizenry and the economy, increasing taxes, creating more useless federal jobs for democrat victim groups and to hand out “free” taxpayer paid medical care to moochers and illegals.
As far as knowing the specifics of the law, Obama couldn’t care less
Please call Senator Joe Donnelly’s office (Indiana Democrat Senator that replaced the RINO we voted out).
His line is open to talk to real people. He is obviously not getting enough calls as someone is answering. They will ask for your address.
Give them hell. It seems all the Republican Senators are not taking calls or the switchboards are busy. Start calling the democrats. It can’t hurt.
Donnelly is a Redstate Democrat but is not up for re-election this year. He is planning to support Obamacare.

In other news, Obama lied about quitting smoking...
I think the primary effect will be to raise the price of the products by 3% or so. Purchase of such a product is more or less non-discretionary. If all companies are hit with it, and so are imports, the number of units sold and profit margins of any individual company should not be affected much.
Uh, and you won’t be able to, um, keep your doctor as the, oh, the ... Republicans—no, everyone else was saying, HHS, yeah that’s the ticket—as they promised.
