President Obama's high school best friend, who at one time was 'like a brother' to him, has been accused of brutally raping and beating a woman, it emerged today.
Keith Kiyoshi Kakugawa, 54, from Eureka, California, was arrested at his home last Sunday and booked into Humboldt County Jail on suspicion of false imprisonment, sexual penetration by force, oral copulation by force and battery.
The arrest is the latest in a long list of convictions for Kakugawa, who was close friends with the President when they both attended Panahou High School.
Since then, their lives have gone down completely different paths and Kakugawa is said to be so bitter over it, he even threatened to reveal stories from their school days after Obama became president.
'It's a sad tale of how two young boys who were best friends in high school took drastically different paths in their lives,' Kakugawa's father Kenneth told the National Enquirer.
'When Keith started to face hard times, he grew resentful and bitter of Barry's success.

Keith obviously did not have handlers like Barry must have. I doubt Barry's success was entirely self-attained.

Again, in the very unfamiliar territory of having to defend Barry, BUT.....some of the people I went to high-school with were thugs and flat-out criminals. Would not appreciate being linked to them just because they were in my graduating class.

"[The prisoner] then remade his bed, climbed the wall of his cell, wove his bedsheet rope into a metal vent above his sink and tried to hang himself. The rope broke and he fell, hitting the sink and ricocheting across the cell headfirst into the corner of a metal desk. The force of the impact caused him to rotate 180 degrees and careen across the cell, smashing his head into a wall.
"While unconscious from two head wounds, [the prisoner] bled profusely onto the floor. After regaining consciousness, he tried to get up but hit his head on the metal stool. He first crawled, then got up and staggered around his cell, leaving blood on the walls and floor.
"After lying on his bed for a while, [the prisoner] used two plastic toothpaste tubes or a plastic knife to cut his throat, leaving more blood. When that suicide try failed, he reconstructed his bed sheet rope and successfully hanged himself."
OK so it is not Mr. Kakugawa. This is pure Looney-Tunes federal authorities (including Eric Holder IIRC) describing how Kenneth Trentadue (a federal prisoner) killed himself in his cell. They had the prisoner ricocheting around his cell like in a Looney-Tunes cartoon.

According to the article they were ‘best friends’. If that is true then linking them is appropriate.
