Where's all the FReepers gravitating to this thread to tell us the GOPe candidates aren't bought and paid for, that it's "okay" because they're the lesser of two evils, or to sling the "purist" accusation?

Also, where's the herd jumping in line to explain how McConell and Cornyn are playing some sophisticated multi-level chess game and that by "caving" or portraying turncoats Mc and Cornyn are somehow "political geniuses" doing this for the benefit of us poor non-politically astute ignoramuses? (ala the genius 'It's a Tax Roberts')

This is what happens when we blindly vote for (R). This is what happens when we sacrifice principle so "our guy" can get in there. I'm not advocating that [you] only vote for the guy with 100% the same views as [you] but if they don't meet the 75% threshold and your candidate's attributes are -

He's the lesser of two evils

He sucks less

His platform evolved

He'll get mentored and taken under the care of some conservative

Some other (R) or group of (R)s will 'hold his feet to the fire'

He has (R) by his name

Well, he claimed to be a "severe conservative" --

Here is your folly in action - McConell, McCain, Grahm, Cornyn

Now let's hope Boner can hold onto the backbone he borrowed over in the House.

2016 is going to be ugly for the GOPe.
