The wheels are coming off the clown car that is the modern Republican Party. House and Senate GOP leaders are sniping at each other, on Twitter and, even more nastily, via their congressional aides. And no ones been more vilified than the junior senator from Texas, Ted Cruz. Not even Barack Obama, for a change.
Cruz has defiantly led his party down the dead-end path of demanding that Democrats agree to defund Obamacare in exchange for Republicans voting to keep funding the government. Polls find even Republicans dont like that idea, and so a few GOP politicians are asking what Cruzs endgame is. And when Cruz said he knew Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid wouldnt let such a bill pass the Senate, and suggested it was all up to House Republicans, the knives came out.
Actual House Republicans attacked Cruz under their own names. Arkansas Tim Griffin tweeted, so far Sen Rs are good at getting Facebook likes, and townhalls, not much else. Do something. Wisconsins Sean Duffy likewise tweeted, House agrees to send #CR to Senate that defunds Obamacare. @SenTedCruz & @SenMikeLee refuse to fight. Wave white flag and surrender.
Rep. Paul Ryan told Politico in an interview, not via Twitter, that hostility to Cruz and other Senate GOP extremists is pretty palpable in our conference, I would say. You mean about how theyre saying were not going to fight, and back at you, were not going to fight but forget about what we said earlier? Yeah, theres a bit of frustration.
We all believe the same thing, we all want to achieve the same goal, and so we shouldnt be questioning each others conservatism over tactical disagreements.(continued)

If everyone hates him, why are they all on board with his plan?
I don’t think McCain fihished THE PRINCE. His plan is to sit on the fence until he determines which way the crowd is going then jump off the fence and yell “Get the f&&K off my wife’s land!”
To me this sounds like any agency can use whatever funds the house gives them. They don’t need obama’s signature. After all, he doesn’t actually write the checks. And what could he veto? A budget? There’s not one. Can he veto a CR?

To fund it, the bill would have to be passed by both houses and signed into law by the president. But if the house wants to deny funding, say for an unconstitutional runaway program like obamacare, they simply refuse to pass a bill funding it and there’s nothing the senate or the president can do about it. In other words, the House has the constitutional power to snap shut the purse. Just say no!
And it’s not like there’s any reason to negotiate or compromise. I can’t think of any bill the republicans should be wishing to pass at this time, other than bills repealing or cutting government.
Is that B-2 over DNC headquarters?
The wheels are coming off the Democrat clown car too! A lot of Democrats are against Obamacare. Republicans love Ted Cruz. The only wheels coming off on the right are the GOPe wheels who will be replaced in 2014 and 2016.
Quite a few, and the vast majority have no idea who Ted Cruz is. But as the word gets out, gradually the awareness will grow, and people respond to honest, common sense conservative ideas, and they recoil from the standard line of BS that the political class has been feeding them for decades. Once they realize that Cruz is not just another self-serving political hack (and I pray that he's not), the tide will begin to turn.
I reckon we can get one good term out of a good politician before they drink the Kool-Aid in DC and it starts changing them.
I think he's among the best of the best.
Beyond being a cipher of a VP candidate, Paul “Amnesty” Ryan has been completely exposed.
The second pix was taken over Schweinfurt, where I was stationed in 59-60-61.
I don’ hate Ted Cruz. I wish there were more like him In Congress. In fact, I would prefer him in the Whiter House over the current occupier.
Yeah, because he’s forcing them to stand up and fight, something that is complete anathema to them.
Only the apples suffer when the apple cart gets turned, so to speak.
Alinksy Rule #13: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.
The vermin left and Rockefeller Republicans said the same things about Ronald Reagan. They fear Cruz because he is connecting directly with the American people, and shattering DC cronyism.
So far, so good.
Why so much hate for Senator Cruz? I thought liberals were against hate and hate groups. Anti-hatred is their religion, in place of worshipping God and Jesus.
