Obama has known what he's doing from way back in the eighties and nineties and don't let anybody say otherwise. But that's not what I called about. I called because I read this morning that the Spokane police chief said that "Shorty" Delbert Belton, the 88-year-old World War II veteran who was killed, beaten to death last week.
RUSH: Yeah.
CALLER: It was really his fault, they say. They're blaming Shorty! They said... I've gotta read you this quote 'cause I'm so angry about this. "Our information is that the individual fought back and that may have made this, you know, a worse situation." So they're blaming the victim. Now, Trayvon Martin? Oh, no! Oh, no. But Shorty Delton? Yes, yes, he shouldn't have fought back. It was his fault. He enraged these teens by fighting back.
RUSH: Yeah, I saw that. I saw that. I've seen that a lot in rape cases, you know, where the women end up getting blamed because, "They resisted. They shoulda just taken it and they'd been okay." You know, you let that excuse be offered in a rape and you look what they call you.
CALLER: Oh-ho-ho-ho! You let that excuse be offered George Zimmerman protecting himself and find out what happens.
RUSH: Well, exactly.
CALLER: Yeah.
RUSH: She's right, folks. There are officials -- not just radical people that visit websites, officials -- saying that this poor old 80-year-old veteran. What was he, 83?
CALLER: Eighty-eight years old.
RUSH: "This 83-year-old man, he might be alive if he hadn't fought back. It just made 'em madder. It just made 'em angrier."
CALLER: Yeah, it was his fault because he enraged the teens. One of whom had been involved with basketball, by the way, these sweet boys.
RUSH: So Shorty, if he'd had just accepted his "whoop assssss."
CALLER: Exactly. If he'd have just handed it over, everything would have been fine.
RUSH: Yeah, if he'd have handed it over, accepted the "whoop assssss," everything would have been fine -- and Rachel Jeantel would have been happy; she likes whoop assssss.
CALLER: Everybody would have been happy; everything would have been fine. Yeah. Yeah.
RUSH: Where does this come from, though? Where is this taught that if something bad happens, just let it go? It can never be the perp's fault, see. There's always gotta be an explanation.
CALLER: Unless the perp is George Zimmerman, Rush. Then it's the perp's fault. If George Zimmerman killed Trayvon Martin, then it's the perp's fault.
RUSH: Are you saying that there's a racial component to this, Kate?
CALLER: Oh, God forbid. God forgive me. Am I saying that to 20 million people? Yes, I am.
RUSH: That's a serious charge out there, Kate.
CALLER: Yeah.
RUSH: It's very, very serious.
CALLER: I'm sure Obama knows where I live. But that's okay.
RUSH: (laughing) Look, I gotta go.
CALLER: (laughing)
RUSH: But it's always fun to hear from you. This is one of my first callers back in the Sacramento days in the mid-eighties.

RUSH: Okay. So we have a little bit of an update here. "Spokane police have indicated that Belton enraged the teens when he tried to fend them off, which prompted them to beat him with 'big, heavy flashlights' to the point where Belton was bleeding from every part of his head. 'Our information is that the individual fought back and that may have made this, you know, a worse situation,' Spokane Police Chief Frank Straub said on Monday.
"Other witnesses have said that Belton, who was shot in the leg at Okinawa in World War II, was waiting for a female friend outside the Eagles Ice-A-Rena so that she would not have to walk in alone..." So he was being beat up, defended himself, and that led to his death 'cause he was really asking for it. He was really asking for it by waiting to walk a female friend home -- and then when he got beaten up, he defended himself, and that incited deadly use of force on the part of his attackers.
In other news, the district attorney in the Chris Lane murder case has declared that race was not a factor, so there will not be hate crime charges. Chris Lane is the Australian baseball player in Oklahoma who was shot, killed because a couple of guys said they were bored. The racist tweets didn't mean anything. The fact that one of the perps tweeted how much he hated white people?
Nothing to see here. It didn't matter. So the DA in that part of Oklahoma says that race was not a factor; there will be no hate crime charges. I wonder if Eric Holder called that DA. (interruption) Well, I don't know. I mean, a DA is not a federal... (interruption) Well, I know. What does that matter? It's true. Isn't that interesting? That no hate crime. No hate crime.
So I guess if you want to murder somebody, just say you were bored and, "Oh, there's obviously no hate there! Fine. There's no racial motivation. Fine. They were just bored. I'll tell you, this stuff is not gonna just sit there and percolate and do nothing. There are going to be consequences to this kind of stuff. I don't know when, what, or how, but you heard our last caller. This stuff is not just being processed, dealt with, and ignored out there.

In other words, Progressives and Leftists do not really believe that black Americans should be considered fully human. Black Americans are simply gonna do what they do and it is ridiculous to treat them as if they can be reasoned with. You can't expect them to be kind or decent. You don't reason with snakes or hornets, do you?
It's subtle, and most people will miss it, but saying that someone 'made' a black person attack him by trying to defend themselves is actually the most racist thing I've heard in a long time.
That is true. Since the riots back in the ‘60s, the Liberals have been scare Shiite-less by the Blacks. Their solution has been to “buy peace.” They have done this by sacrificing the middle class, while they have barricaded themselves in Liberal enclaves.
They have fed the wild animals in hopes that they will be eaten last.
Gotta love chickenshit police chiefs; oh, no, don’t let yourself be called a racist by blaming the perp, blame the victim. He should get an ass-whoopin’ himself!

I agree with the racist angle but I’d also like to point out the hypocrisy of the police, many of whom are not comfortable w/an armed public.
Would the police something like this when a cop is injured or killed? Would they say “He should’ve just let the perp go.” or “They shouldn’t have used a no-knock warrant.”?
My friend you've just described the basis of progressivism. From Woodrow Wilson watching Birth of a Nation in the White House, to Baraq 0bama saying "You didn't build that!!!" , progressives see all of us (especially minorities) as unable to do anything without their benevolence. Remember if we were all free and could do for ourselves, progressives wouldn't be the smartest kids in the room, and they'd actually have to get honest work.

By the police’s logic, if the hodies want to rob your home then let them take all your hard earned and treasured possessions and just be thankful they didn’t kill you in the process. If you make it easy for them maybe they won’t take so much.

This police chief is leading adolescents who don’t have much on the ball to think it’s okay to attack white people. And the white people shouldn’t fight back. That’s one conclusion you can draw from his statement.

You're right on this servo - elite liberals feel it's OK to pay blacks off with disability, food stamps, and welfare because frankly they want them out of sight and not applying for jobs... Elite liberals fight to bring in Hispanic to work for them (we pay for that too) - while expecting the middle class to support blacks who have been make hopeless. We're all played against each other... Elite liberals also want us to 'socialize' the Hispanics they can't use... on our dime again...
Doesn't anyone ever catch on to the contradiction that we must bring in unskilled Mexicans to work - AND that there are NO jobs for unskilled blacks? And yeah, blacks need to develop a better work ethic - but that doesn't happen out of 'mother only' homes...It's a mess - but a mess that works for liberal elites.

So the headline in today’s Spokesman Review says “Teen claims vet dealt crack”. He claims Delbert Belton shorted them on the deal. Teen thug’s dad says he remembers Mr. Belton from his own crack buying days. How sick and sad is that. Plus what the stupid police chief said. How idiotic!
