In 1956, when I was a student at Brooklyn College, Mike Harrington told Tom [Kahn, another Brooklyn College student] and me to go up to this office in Manhattan, on 57th Street, to work with Bayard Rustin,” Rachelle Horowitz remembers. Harrington (who was to author The Other America, which sparked the War on Poverty), Horowitz, and Kahn were all members of the Young People’s Socialist League, a democratic socialist organization of no more than several hundred members nationally. Rustin, their elder, boasted a longer left pedigree: a brief sojourn in the Communist Party in the ’30s, then—repudiating the Communists and affiliating himself with the Socialist Party—working for socialist A.J. Muste’s Fellowship of Reconciliation; founding the Congress of Racial Equality with fellow socialist James Farmer in 1942; doing time in Leavenworth during World War II for protesting the segregation of the armed forces; traveling to India to study nonviolent civil disobedience with the Gandhi-ites; and endeavoring to integrate interstate bus travel in the South a decade before the Freedom Rides began (for which, during one trip, he was badly beaten). When Harrington suggested that Horowitz and Kahn go help out Rustin, whom they’d not met before, he was organizing a national support network for the Montgomery Bus Boycott, which had begun just a few weeks earlier.
This was the genesis of the network of democratic socialists who seven years later were to conceive, organize, and set the themes for the March on Washington.
Handsome, stylish, and dynamic (Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee founder Stokely Carmichael said Rustin seemed to be wearing a cape even when he wasn’t), Rustin “blew our mind" when she and Kahn met him, Horowitz recalls.....

What march on Washington?
I have to wonder why so many jews are at the forefront of socialist organizations, even today.
of all the types of government throughout history, the democracy we have in this country has given the world the greatest freedom and liberty. jews have been persecuted in socialist countries, obviously national socialism, monarchies, and dictatorships.
they have flourished in America. its a mystery to me.
Admitting to all the stories that were formerly only told at John Birch Society meetings but now hit their regular up-front publications...I do wonder some but it seems they think having one of their own in the big office gives some cover.

Not really.. The John Birch Society has been fully repudiated for BEING ABSOLUTELY CORRECT about 99% of what they tried to inform America of..
Many people know they were correct and HATE the BASTARDS for being correct..
Mostly democrats and Rinos but a few republican elite as well which are stealth RINOs...
Only thing separating democrats and rinos is HONOR..

Our type of government is not a democracy, it is a republic. Many people confuse the type of government we have because we hold democratic elections.
Democracy is one of the worst forms of governments in history dating back to Greece. It always leads to tyranny just as control of money always leads to greed unless it is regulated. The Founders knew this from their education of the history of western civilization.
The democratic components of our republic are regulated by our republic to keep those components from installing a dictator.
Certain groups of Jews feel left out because they are in the minority. They are insecure. There are a few ways they treat their insecurity. One is to accumulate grand wealth or obtain high position which many have done. Another is to assimilate and become respectable and admirable Americans which many have done. Another is to join other minorities in egalitarian movements. The latter is what you see associated with the Left.

I teach my children that same message. It’s unbelievable how they finance and promote the same things that murdered millions of their ancestors.

David Horowitz explains it well in his book The Politics of Bad Faith. In the second essay, titled “The Religious Roots of Radicalism” Horowitz explains how the Jewish religious concept of Tikkun Olam – the quest to heal the world and pursue “social justice” – was incorporated by Karl Marx and other 19th century radical godfathers into the heart of the socialist cause. The religious became political.
His parents were among many Russian Jews who brought Communist beliefs to America. David was one of many Red Diaper Babies who grew up accepting Communist thinking until a tragic event opened his eyes and altered his political direction. Many of his unaltered cohort achieved prominent roles in American academia, media and politics.

i’m not doubting the correctness of that statement, but what’s perplexing is that most immigrants to America were fleeing the form of government they were living under, searching for freedom and liberty. its seems strange to leave a country (Russia, say), and then try to advance your old form of government.

interesting you should mention centralized government. one of my theories has always that people believe that a central government will work if they are the ones running it.
in particular, jews have taken up a large position in the governing of the us. for example, three jews on the supreme court, head of the federal reserve, secretary of the treasury, dozens of senators and congressman, not to mention gatekeepers like rahm Emanuel and david axlerod.
the problem, if someone nefarious and antisemetic grabs the
reigns of power, then you see how centralization can then be a curse.
