Yep, Obama administration has a very hard time following any law, much less using common sense. These are revenues, not expenditures, and they owe a share of the revenues to the various states. It is not subject to spending cuts, as these funds are to be distributed when collected - part to the feds, part to the states.

The revenues owed to the mineral-producing states under the Mineral Leasing ACT are not a gift, a handout, or an entitlement but rather are the result of a compromise reached in 1920 that compensation is due to the states for mineral development within their boundaries.

In addition to Colorado, the letter was signed by the top legal officials from Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming.

The federal givernment should OWN no land.. NONE...
Washington D.C. SHOULD be leased from Virginia...

And the Federal Capitol should revolve between the several States every ten years... one time in Virginia next in Mexifornia.. next in Florida.. like that..

Federal givernment should own zero property..
Would tend to keep federal givernment CREEP at a minimum..
Term limits.. YES... plus limits of terms as well..
Even limits on political pursuits AFTER holding office..
NO RETIREMENT of elected federal political officers..
NO federal givernment workers Unions..

SOmething CAN BE DONE to reign in this MONSTER....
Military should be composed of State Militias..
All Military property owned by the States..
Federal Military liaisons(Joint Chiefs) elected by Staff Officers..
AND their staff vetted and approved by militia committees..

No State land Hi-JAcked by the federal givernment.. NONE..
The federal givernment should be a vassal of the States..
A servant.. a serf... a fully owned and supported slave of the States..

My guess is that a lot of these States voted overwhelmingly for "0"............twice.

Those that did made their bed. Now they can lay in it.
