Al-Jazeera America debuts in Houston (on Comcast, others...)
Houston Chronicle ^ | 8/19/13 | DAVID BAUDER, AP Television Writer

Posted on 08/20/2013 11:11:40 AM PDT by jimbo123

In a warren of offices at a former bank building near Madison Square Garden, dozens of journalists are at work on gleaming new electronic equipment, ready to turn their test runs of Al-Jazeera America into the real thing.

The Qatar-based news organization will finally establish a firm foothold on American television Tuesday after a decade of trying. At 3 p.m. EDT, Al Gore's former Current TV will turn out the lights in more than 45 million TV homes, replaced by the new U.S. affiliate of Al-Jazeera.

In Houston, the network will launch on 4DTV (Channel W5261), AT&T U-verse (Channel 189), Comcast (Channel 107), DirecTV (Channel 358), Dish Network (Channel 215) and Wavevision XDTV (Channel 161).

The network has hired many veterans of U.S. television, including John Seigenthaler, Joie Chen, Antonio Mora and Sheila MacVicar, and is promising a meaty diet of news that it believes will contrast with the opinionated talk that dominates American news networks.

As if Al-Jazeera's pro-terrorist agenda is not "opinionated talk" masquerading as "news".

When Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups know that you will broadcast their message, you are serving EVIL. When you refuse to denounce it as EVIL. You ARE EVIL.

If the Houston Chronicle reports it, has it really been reported?

Yeah, and this is how it all went down...

"We have thrown every lib we can think of to shut up all those dam conservatives. H#!!, we even thought Madcow would have upended them all by now.

So, maybe Al Gore's-Jazeera can deFox America. We are outta options here."

I’ve heard that AlJazeera English/America does NOT carry the unexpurgated message of Qatar’s Al-Jazeera.

The kufir can’t handle the truth. Can’t have the sheeple hearing the true message of Islamists.

MSNBC is still on cable. So is CNN. Ratings don’t matter when they get a slice of your cable/satellite bill every month.

Drop pay tv. Defund the Beast.

DirecTV (Channel 358)”

Interesting that the DirectTV line-up, as of now, lists FOX as Channel 360, FOX Business as 359 and Oxycontin Express as 358. Wonder if Oxycontin is going to be one of their sponsors.

It would appear that AJ is in collusion with known war criminals.

Has Al Jazeera ever brought a single one of them to justice (death/prison)?

Aljazeera has been available by subscription on SAT TV for sometime now.

Yes, their news is slanted but no more than what we already see from the MSM.

They will broadcast what others will not, don’t like it, change the channel. Sometimes it is good to know what the rest of the world is saying.

It does raise the question of which advertisers will be sponsoring AlJazeera in the US.

I’ll bet my next EBT card that this channel is offered as part of a package. If you want FOX News and CNN, you have to pay for the death-cult channel as well.

Another bit of income redistribution from the normal people to the yelling and screaming dirty beard crowd.

Being in the Houston area I would check into this and watch a program or two to see what the enemy is saying.

That is IF I HAD A TV! The Houston Chronicle is a liberal rag too by the way.

Everyone who buys cable and satellite is contributing to these leftwing channels. If your system has AL Jazeera, Currrent, Pivot, Democracy Now, Bridges-TV, CCTV4 etc etc you are funding them. These channels, even though hardly anyone watches, are receiving millions and millions per month without advertising.
