...Some think it's time for a new American revolution.
...Moreover, many of the preconditions for a revolt exist.
Before specifying some indications of the potential for revolution in the U.S., let me mention several conditions noted by the historian Crane Brinton (1898-1968) in The Anatomy of Revolution (1938, 1952, 1965). Brinton studied revolutions in four western countries: Great Britain in the 1640s, America in the late 18th century, France a few years later, and the Russian revolutions of 1917.
...In each country, just before revolution broke out, there were indications that the old regime was increasingly dysfunctional. The four governments faced huge budget deficits. Citizens complained -- far more than normal -- about excessive taxation. There were conspicuous decisions by which the central government favored some economic interests over others. There were also well-publicized instances of government malfeasance and/or corruption.
Brinton identified two other important developments in pre-revolutionary societies: (1) members of the ruling class lost self-confidence, leading to that class' increasing ineptitude; and (2) the intelligentsia were alienated from the old regime.
As before, are any bells ringing? Now we're ready to look at developments in America, and ask if they foretell revolutionary change. I shall focus on public opinion polls. Brinton lacked access to reliable information about public opinion in the four countries: i.e., polls conducted by modern methods.
It would require too many words to relate all facets of recent polls that reveal the potential for a new American revolution. I concentrate on the most important. Others could readily be added.

YES!
Real close!
Some here have been saying for quite some time there is the smell of revolution in the air.
Don’t we need a declaration of some kind?
Is it time yet, Claire?
Anyone who is only just now considering the possibility of revolution in this country is a slow learner. I wanted to revolt when the feds burned men, women and children to the ground in Waco. We as a country have been taking serious blows from the fedgov for years, standing there absorbing uppercuts, roundhouses, kidney shots and whatnot, and now, lying in the hospital bandaged and splinted, we’ve got some people saying “OK, if they try just one more thing, I’m REALLY going to do something.”
I think that there are many who are “awake”, but they still feel too isolated to rise up. I know many “patriots” who are still not yet ready to “mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.”
The best indicator of a PHONY ADMINISTRATION is the number of its REAL SCANDALS.
Commie Obamas talking points are thus smokescreen distractions for the products of Obamas first 4 years in office:
* Refusal to close US Southern Border to Mexican illegal alien invaders
* No known un-forged records of Place of Birth
* No known un-forged records of University grades
* Benghazi Massacre
* Dereliction of Duty as CIC during Benghazi Massacre
* Cover up of Benghazi Massacre
* Destruction of Seal Team Six
* Cover up of Fast and Furious murder of US Border Agent by Exec. Order
* IRS-Obamacare Commune Death Grip on Wealth and Health
* NSA-Gestapo Death Grip on all citizens communications
* Use Courts against News Media
* Use of Supreme Court to install Un-Constitutional Obamacare Tax
* Destruction of the US Coal Industry
* Refusal to permit XL Pipeline construction
* Trillion Dollar a year Federal Overspending
* Monthly violations of the US Constitution by Obama
* Use of Exec. Orders to bypass Congress
Texas, then Florida. Then, Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana. South and North Carolina. Arizona, Nevada, Utah. Montana, North and South Dakota. There’s 13 orginal states for US 2.0.
Tennessee before Florida...geez. :-)
We could have won so easily back in the 70s or 80s but our side has been complacent and easily misled, often refusing to acknowledge what was happening. Now the water's getting noticeably hot and the frogs are beginning to pay attention. It may be too late: the Obama regime's ready to turn the heat way up.
No, indeed. No, secession is rarely looked upon favorably by the parent government, and force of arms is commonly brought to bear — as in the case you mention. (Tho’ as I understand it, the ‘petitioner’ was the first to use force).
And after the secession, then what?
Will these states get rid of illegals and Muzzies?
If not, nothing will change.
When they passed and signed the NDAA, and announced drones in the sky....
That was the declaration.
Wouldn't that be the point, you don't risk EVERYTHING in a secession even a possible civil war II to maintain the status quo? Get real.
