The Arab world and its Islamic worldview have proven inconsistent with the tenets of modernity and free intellectual exchange because of the former's inability to both wield and relinquish power and to brook dissent. Since the fall of the Ottoman Empire at the close of WWl and the creation of the Middle Eastern nations out of whole cloth, the orderly transfer of power in Arab States is practically a null set. Instead, we see the ancient motifs of "power challenging" occurring again and again -- actuated through conspiracy and temporary coalitions that are usually stratified along tribal loyalties. No sooner, however, than one dog reaches the top of the heap does a new round of murmuring arise through those participants who feel that they are being shortchanged or disrespected through the money-favoring nexus -- proving true the old adage quoted in a recent column that "an Arab cannot be bought, only rented."

Arab Muslims are not into the Western Left’s loony global “diversity”. They are into elitist Arabian Islam dominance....period. It creates zero sum racism, injustice, oppression, poverty, violence and war. Any outsider who plays with it gets burnt and they are always looking for someone to burn. America is playing in fire with some of the stupidest people leading the nation.
Reagan knew about Arabs and he knew about commies, too. We need leaders who are in favor of the United States of America and can be dragged around with a ring through the politically correct, idealist noses.

Another old book about the Middle East is called ‘The Arab Mind’. Many years ago, it was required reading for our CIA,our military leaders and diplomates. The PC crowd has probably long ago banned it.
Exactly. Reading this also gives a glimpse into Obama’s ancestral psyche as well IMHO. His father’s Arab roots show through in many of Obama’s own actions.
His inability to compromise or to accept criticism, his inability to give ground to his political adversaries, his extreme sense of superiority, his ‘tribal’ mindset, his ruthlessness towards his perceived opponents, his sense of loyalty to the Islamic world.....it is all right there on display.
0 has and does deny he is Muslim successfully. But he cannot deny his heritage. We need to emphasis that any time 0’s name is mentioned in the same sentence or paragraph that the Muslim faith is mentioned.

Islam is crippled by its inability to resolve -and square-,
its tenets with a fast changing, modern world. Other major
religions, like Christianity, Buddhism and Hinduism seem to
have been able to accomplish this. The Muslims are stuck
200 years in the past and can’t figure out how to move
forward. I think Morsi is a golden example. He is the
typical Muslim intellectual, who desired an elite education
in a Western university -that he could NOT obtain in the
middle east- and now rejects the West as infidels. He tried
to cloak this hypocrisy with statesmanship dignity, but
he is just another Muslim Brotherhood rat bag, bent on
establishing a theocratic state based on crazy Sharia law.
