I can’t get past post 12 sometimes...but I will continue to post so as not to deprive anyone here of my brilliant comments. ha.
I can't speak for everyone else, but I am...
Exactly. One would think if we can see it so plainly from our perspective and we are just little people with an internet connection - how come all these Big Important People can't see what is so obvious?
Or do they, and we are in deeper kimchi than we can possibly imagine?
It reminds of the situation in Iran during the 1978-79 period when the US advised the Shah not to use Savak to put down the Iranian revolution. Carter essentially eased the Shah out of Iran. America, the Iranian people, and the world would be far better off if the Shah had remained in power. Khomeini hijacked the Iranian Revolution and turned Iran into the world's biggest state sponsor of terrorism, which we are still dealing with and Iran is now on the verge of being a nuclear power.
The US made a mistake in Iran and now it is making a similar mistake in Egypt. The military understands its countrymen far better than we do. Any concession is deemed a weakness. The military knows that if they don't subdue or destroy the political influence of the MB, they will be destroyed by them. This is a life and death struggle for them. There is no middle ground. There has to be a winner and a loser. Cutting off aid is a hostile act as far as the military is concerned.
I recall vividly what Khomeini did to the opposition when he got in power. Every day there were pictures in the newspapers showing the corpses wrapped in plastic of former government officials and senior military officers who were sentenced to death and killed by the new regime.
The Egyptian military is still the most respected and least corrupt of the government institutions. We should let them work things out and withhold judgment while this struggle continues. No doubt, we are putting pressure on them to hold new elections as soon as possible and include the MB in the transition government. It would be a disaster because it would only be seen as a sign of weakness by the MB and their supporters. There was a reason why the MB was not able to engage in politics under Mubarak. The MB version of democracy is one man, one vote, one time.
Watching Lindsey Graham make a fool of himself talking on Egypt right now. He absolutely makes no sense at all.
That's the big question! Who knows what and which side are they on.That Question unfortunately can be asked of both sides of the aisle starting with mcqueeg and gomer.
In another thread, a poster asked why aren't we doing something about it? Getting angry and demanding Washington do something now?
Here's my reply:
I'm not sure we can. Do we have a megaphone to do so? No. People like Anderson Cooper, Chris Matthews and Oprah Winfrey, to name just a few, have all the megaphones.
George Soros creates and richly finance organizations that can bend the ears of Capitol Hill potentates.
The Hollyweird Left produces propaganda to ensure the low information voters (LIV) know just how evil conservatives are. They use their billions of $, along with the Technology Kings (Zuckermann, Bezos, Ted Turner, etc.) to promote and keep democrats in power.
Science calls us deniers because we want more proof that we should just wreck the economy and ruin the lives of millions of people over a threat that's natural and has been present on Earth for millions of years.
Academia indoctrinates our youth from 5 years old to 22 on how rotten and awful the rich, America, and Christianity is.
I just don't have much hope. I can't understand why we (meaning our political philosophy) seems to have no power. Four years ago, our outrage grew to the point of boil-over and the TEA Party was born. We fought back, in protest and town hall.
The answer from the Left was easy. They got Anderson Cooper and his megaphone to call us Teabaggers. Congressman Elijah Cummings said protesters spit on him and called him the N-Word when he and Nancy's minions took their power walk with giant gavel to rub our faces in it. They used ALL the power the megaphones had, media and Hollyweird, to attack, denigrate and make a laughing stock out of the TEA party and it worked.
Now, right before our eyes, we see the megaphones ignoring the murders in Benghazi and the shameful, lying Susan Rice going on ALL the Sunday shows and not telling the American people the truth and they don't mind.
We see the IRS, NSA, FBI and other federal agencies breaking the law for political gain and just whatever else (reasons and the depth of it we can only just speculate on) that would make Richard Nixon blush and the megaphones just yawn and the LIV gets a sad, young boy named Trayvon to take their minds off things.
I have no answer. We could fight back, but we need money, and lots of it. We need our own megaphones--Rush, etc. are not enough.
We need to force the megaphones to report on us. Things like Rand Paul's "filibuster" should be weekly occurrences, but it's as if our side doesn't care.
Our side! Is it?
I have to conclude if they're not against the Left, they are... For them?!
The Left let two from "our" side have a megaphone, McCain and Graham, because they can always be depended on to eat their own. Whackobirds, anyone?
Is Boehner and his leadership so afraid of the megaphones that they won't fight, or are they secretly in agreement with the Left on things?
There's so much more and I am outraged beyond belief but I have no answer. Men much more powerful than me refuse to take a stand--how can I?
Which one is supposed to be the other conservative, Dennis Kucinich or Nina Easton?
Which one is supposed to be the other conservative, Dennis Kucinich or Nina Easton?
Exactly libs don’t talk about issues, debt, muslim takeover of the us,graft, corruption, sequester, amnesty they want to talk about emotional issues that can be BS’d beyond belief.
He donned his spurs during the Clinton Impeachment trial. He has spent the remainder of his feckless career doffing them. South Carolina can and should do better than this weakfish.
If I was in the same room as Evan Bayh, I would keep my hand on my wallet the entire time. That fakey smile makes Joe Isuzu look like the real deal.
Ah! Bipartisanship is such a wonderful thing to behold!!
when DNC Dave closes his show he uses to old line
if it’s Sunday...it’s Meet The Press
I submit a truer cliche’
if the Sun rises, we are here to kill it.
today’s show was Satan on display
( gotta run...meetings all day )
I think its pretty clear at this junction that our regime-- ozero/jarrett etc. are hell bent on promoting the MB as their terrorists fomenting communist throughout the middle east and doing their dirty work as in Benghazi as needed.
Meanwhile, here, the regime turns the screws tighter and tighter every day.
It's gonna be interesting to see what they do since few moves are made by our regime here that don't have a political bent.
If it appears that zeros numbers will fall by embracing the MB they will try and use someone else to do the dirty work of helping them. Either way support for them will never die among our regime they have infiltrated us way to much for that to happen.
I just wish someone..anyone..would stop the PC crap on the Muslim Brotherhood and come right out and say: Our national security interests in the ME require our country to stand against the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamists in all of their shapes, figures and forms. It is a totalitarian fascist ideology, that has no place in a civilized world! If that means that we support a strong man in ME, that stands up to them to protect our national security interests and the minority rights of Christians and moderate Muslims..that is what we do. Period.
I will not hold my breath though.
BOOKMARK # 55 FOR LATER
Funny thing about that is he's talking about his own party that has absolutely nothing to run on while we have everything from Benghazi to 17 trillion in debt.
Keith Ellison stating that almost turned the tv off. Plouffe desperately trying to talk us into more debates since he knows we shot our self in the foot last time.
Plouffe now spouting out dnc chatting points! Its simply hilarious watching these assclowns trying to defend obamcare, good for the economy, good for the country what blatant lies.!!
Our problem is, while we slept through history and lived our daily lives in peace and safety and minding our own business, we let the Left take over our institutions and culture until we recognize but a shadow of what in our own lifetimes we once took to be national bedrock. It was a long slog getting to this precipice and it is an even longer and steeply uphill slog back to national sanity. Neither time or numbers are on our side.
IMHO, it will take a major catastrophic event to bring enough people to their senses and turn things around. Obviously, that event was not 9/11 although it seemed to be at the time. It will have to be a deeper and more profound shock than that.
A important question is, can we survive until then or can we even survive what might be the awful cure before we are overwhelmed by the gathering momentum of evil - much of which is domestically produced??
