The Washington Post´s article detailing the fourth amendment abuses by the NSA got some push back from the administration who attempted to "edit" the article before publication. The internal audit referenced in the article was obtained by the WaPo from Edward Snowden. The details of the audit indicated repeated and growing privacy violations by the NSA, violations which included obtaining thousands of American citizen´s communications records and using methods of information collection that were later deemed unconstitutional by a court. The Post was able to interview John Delong, NSA director of compliance for the article and they were initially

Thanks. Never read it....just LIVING it.
Even though some (at WaPo) are leftwing, they can not stand the cozy (and absolutely unhealthy) relationship between their colleagues (including journalists from other outlets) and Obama admin.
Now that Obama is helplessly floundering even more so than his previous 5 years, let loose the ‘Obama tried to interfere’ is but a small taste of their disgruntling.
MORE, PLEASE!
Thanks Nachum.
Everyone should really read 1984. A short and compelling read. I read it again this past year and the similarities are downright spooky.
This admin seems to base everything it does off of that book! It is uncanny. Orwell never meant it as an instruction manual.
Welcome, we all are living it now.
I feel all better now. Why, this is even better than that pesky old 4th amendment. That doesn't even mention "overseers". Who doesn't like overseers?
Michael Hastings was “Breitbarted”.
Good point. A reporter that steps on certain toes or upsets the apple cart of the powers that be, can and will be Breitbarted. Fiery car crashes on deserted highways or heart attacks are easily created by operatives inside or outside of government. I’ve always been suspicious of George Carlin’s death too because he could be a very effective thorn in the side of the political elite and PTB.
It would take very little to save newspapers...
A pox on both their houses.
(Looks like Snowden didn't want the same treatment...?)
Everything Michael Hastings was investigating was most likely known by certain alphabet agencies. And now we know that would have been true of Breitbart as well. How many phone calls, how many emails, how many conversations of reporters are being tagged, tracked and hacked into by this administration?
Maybe King Bozo did do something to tick off Bezos...
“Ministry of Truth in newspeak from George Orwells 1984.
Their job was to audit the history and news so that it fit the official party line.
The original info.. Down the memory hole.”
George Orwell at that time could not see the possibility of of a society without hard print newspapers and books, and libraries with hard print archives that could not be changed. Instead we are moving towards a digitized history, with Kindles, and internet files, and manipulable search engines mostly controlled by governments and a few media moguls who are all in bed together, many times for political purposes.
Changing our history will become possible by editing global media files and search engines. The Kindle history book that kids will use will be edited for political correctness etc., and no one will be wiser.
As generations pass on, history will be subject to actual change. 1984 was a bad omen of things to come.
The term ‘overseers’ is meant to sound ominous and threatening. NWO globalists just love terms like that. Makes them feel powerful because deep down they are wicked and pathetic.
The Washington Post acting like a real newspaper? Well guess stranger things have happened....
Ministry of LOVE? LOL
Now that we know the regime has been spying on journalists, people should think seriously about the sudden death of Andrew Breitbart less than FIVE HOURS after he called Sheriff Joe Arpaio on the phone, heard Joe’s evidence of BC forgery, and told Arpaio that the evidence was good. Breitbart had been railed on by Joseph FArah for not covering the eligibility issue but said he wouldn’t because the evidence wasn’t good enough and there was no way to get evidence that WOULD be good enough. In an evening phone call, Breitbart’s reasons for not reporting on the issue were gone, and less than 5 hours after that phone call that was probably being listened to by the regime - and before Breitbart could write anything up about the subject - Breitbart fell to the ground dead in a death that the coroner never even investigated for covert assassination methods.
Part of the fraud done on Obama’s records was the sanitization of his passport file, which was accomplished by 3 breaches of Obama’s passport file, with the help of John Brennan’s company. Now we find that Michael Hastings was about to expose big-time bad stuff on John Brennan when he was offed in suspicious circumstances that also went un-investigated by the LA Police Dept.
Methinks John Brennan may have some very serious blood on his hands, and nobody is safe until he gets due process and final justice...
This Administration is frighteningly criminal. What do they need to do to wake up the masses?
