Actress and singer Bette Midler is quickly becoming one of Hollywood's most addle-minded personalities.
On Twitter Wednesday, she actually wrote, "Do you find it odd that in America today, it’s easier to take a life than to get health insurance?"
Let's look at the facts, shall we?
In 2011, there were about 14,000 homicides in our nation. That year, 48.6 million Americans were uninsured.
That means about 261 million people in our country had health insurance that year, or 18,643 times the number of homicides.
Midler might be a Divine singer, but her intellectual capacity is anything but.

I’ll go one better than Bette — It’s easier to kill anyone ANYWHERE in the world than get health insurance.
I think as 0bamacare settles in, they are hoping to make it easier to kill oneself than to get health insurance. We are probably getting close.
At my age, obamacare and the taking of a life are looking more and more like one in the same...
Was she delivering her words of wisdom in a bath house or out here in the real world?
It was easier to get insurance before Obamacare, because then i had a job. Now no one can afford to hire me full-time.

Is she talking about abortion or just other kinds of taking of life?
What’s her point? Killing someone has never required an application form. Since many of the murderers are functionally illiterate, I am sure that applying for anything is a more challenging process.
It is probably more difficult to get an 0bama phone. It does require you to at least stand in line and lie to someone.
More likely to be judged by a death panel and euthanized than be murdered in The USA once obamacare kicks in.
She should use her millions to buy people healthcare.

The government will make it easier to kill people because they won’t be able to afford the costs of taking care of those people. The plan was never to bring costs down.
Yes, abortion is our national shame.
