How is the U.S. like Sweden? In its low murder rate. That is, if you include in the statistics only non-blacks in the U.S. legally.

In 2011, the latest year for which the FBI has published statistics, there were 14,612 cases of "murder and nonnegligent manslaughter "in the U.S. That equates to a rate of 4.7 per 100,000 inhabitants. That rate of 4.7 is about average over all countries in the world, but it is high for advanced countries such as those of northern and western Europe. The most recent rates for the UK and France, for examples, are 1.2 and 1.1, respectively.

The U.S. rate of 4.7 is what makes so many people think of the U.S. as a violent place full of guns and gun-crazy cowboys. (Venezuela's rate, by contrast, is 45 per 100,000. It must be those Llaneros.)

The FBI also has some data on the demographics of who commits these murders. According to the FBI's Expanded Homicide Data Table 3, the race of the "offender" was known in 10,471 cases. Blacks accounted for 5,486 of them, or 52%.

If that rate holds up for all murders in the U.S., blacks committed 7,656 of those 14,612 murders in 2011.

But there's more. Illegal aliens commit a large number of murders. The statistics are harder to come by for illegal aliens, but in 2011 the Government Accountability Office estimated that 25,064 criminal aliens had been arrested for murder. There are two things we don't know about that number: (1) over how many years, and (2) how many murders were committed by criminal aliens who were not arrested for it?

You can go state by state, and find various states without an urban area (like Iowa), and we compare easily to Sweden or Germany. Urban areas are magnets for murder and violence.

Sweden has 9.6 Million people. Iowa has a third of that.

I would like to see how the crime rate of some of Iowa’s bigger cities compare to say, Stockholm.

It's weird though in Sweden--the suburban areas (some, not all) are where the Muslim ghettos are. The inner city is reserved for elites, expats, etc. You'd be hard pressed to see more than the isolated woman in cover in these parts. The further out you go, the thicker they become. Even into really rural areas in the far north. The left has made sure to disperse them everywhere to fully dilute the culture.

I love the Swedish culture. I am seriously contemplating it permanently. I figure, if I gotta live in a leftist nightmare, it may as well be one that is established. At least I'd get the perks of it there--not sure what I get here except the bill.

I notice that the number of murders where the perp is not known jibes almost exactly with the figure suggested concerning illegals, so rather than extrapolate that half of them are committed by blacks, we might consider that number to be our “illegal” rate (it makes sense, if they escape back over the border or obtain a new stolen SSN and identity.) Not that it matters, the over-all picture is still that the white community is pretty safe except for domestic violence. I’m just guessing, but I bet that accounts for a huge part of our 5 thousand.

I don't know if it's 'urban areas' so much as areas where blacks and illegals live... If we're going to solve the countries social problems and make our cities livable again we need to speak the truth. It'll be painful because liberals will call us racist if we point out violence and criminal acts are concentrated in black neighborhoods. But an honest discussion has to start somewhere ... and it might as well start with the facts.

Besides the people who suffer the most from high levels of black crime and violence are the honest hard working blacks who live in gang banger run hellholes...

Sounds like an easy fix to lowering the murder rate in U.S., but it would take guts and spine to do it, and they are all but extinct.

Great example. The populations of Wyoming and Vermont could not be more different in many aspects, political and cultural. However they have two things in common, and we all can guess what they are. They are demographics and lack of gun control.
