Ten black former American Idol contestants from various seasons have filed a lawsuit against the show, claiming that they were eliminated from the competition due to a racist ratings scheme, TMZ.com reports.
New York attorney James H. Freeman, representing the plaintiffs, says he began investigating the show after Jermaine Jones was kicked off on March 15, 2012, because he didn't inform producers about multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest. Freeman then discovered that throughout Idol's then-11-season run, only nine other people had been publically disqualified. And as it turns out, all of them happened to be black.

The wife and I stopped watching the show because it developed a tangible bias towards blacks. It even went as far as to have 3 of the 4 judges be black. This lawsuit is a joke.
Well first the Bachelor and now American Idol. Pretty soon we won’t have any reality shows if they aren’t on the racist BET....
Oh BS - it was mostly home viewers voting.
So every person who fraudulently misled the show happened to be black, and therefore, it is the SHOW'S fault for enforcing their rules once the lie was discovered. America 2013, in a nutshell.
There was at least one other black winner...Can’t remember her name.

People who get kicked off the show are removed for their inappropriate actions. If 9/10 happen to be one race, that’s a failure of personal responsibility among those individuals. Unless they can point to people of other races who got caught for the same reasons without being eliminated, it’s just another weak attempt to point fingers. Sort of like when the vast majority of individuals in jail are black. It so happens these people get caught breaking the law. A person wouldn’t be there if not found guilty. Calling it racist is just trying to make excuses for poor personal responsibility.
Ruben Studdard, Fantasia Barrino and Jordin Sparks were all winners and all are black. That is a higher percentage of blacks who have won the show than there the percentage of blacks in America.
Screechtasia was also black.
‘African-American Idol’ couldn’t be more ghetto than it already is. I gave up watching it when I realized the judges don’t think you can sing because your runs aren’t ‘black enough’ at the end of every note. That show is CRAP!
Just cancel the show if they want minorities to have an advantage
Everyone is the new IDOL, it's only fair.
They could hire a pervert like Stern to be a judge and then move it to Sin City and lower the age of the entrants, that should clean it right up!

I find it disturbing that a pervert like Stern could a) enjoy popularity in American culture and b) get invited to be a judge on a prime time television show that includes kids in both the competition and in the audience. The man is pure filth.
I think Jennifer Hudson was also a winner, not sure though.
