I know the men I served with - and I remember the ones that lost their lives in Iraq (17) - some stories are personal and I remember them...maybe I’ll write them one day with the photo’s I took...but with the state of mind that kids have today - most don’t have nor will have any desire to read about a war in some far flung desert hole that we called Central South...

I loved to read the World War II novels in the public library when I was in Jr. High School. Unfortunately they have been discarded for ‘more timely’ books.

It’s time to bring back the books about real heros and reclaim history.
