He orders the furlough of 650,000 (286,000 of whom are veterans themselves) Dept of Defense engineers, nurses, teachers, cops, etc - taking 20% of their pay, and yet he wants volunteers to coordinate with this "Corporation for National and Community Service" that he created?
I think he is trying to build his own Private Army.

He wants an army of volunteers for his own purposes. BUT he has ordered that thousands of companies, including the film industry, cannot have ‘interns’ that are unpaid. He really thinks he can have his cake and eat it too!
Twenty minutes ago they were demonizing unpaid interns. So it’s ok to work for free if it is serving The Won?

Like most liberals, Obama views human behavior in a very mechanical way: he ignores free will. He believes that, if you push a person toward a door, the person will go through the door. But in real life, the person may turn left or right, or even pull a gun on you. This is why they can’t forsee the real-world consequences of their policies, and why government gets caught up in its own underwear.
In his mind, issuing “guidance to agencies on developing and improving federal recruitment strategies for participants in national service,” will result in a bunch of Young Pioneers goose-stepping through Washington, when, in reality, this memo will result in nothing other than training junkets to Las Vegas for bureaucrats.
