Pelosi: The Employer Mandate Was Not Delayed July 11, 2013 - 12:16 PM By Elizabeth Harrington Subscribe to Elizabeth Harrington RSS
(CNSNews.com) During a press conference on Thursday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was asked if she thinks there is any virtue in delaying Obamacares individual mandate as well as the employer mandate:
No. Absolutely not. I dont think its virtuous at all, Pelosi said. In fact, the point is, is that the (business) mandate was not delayed, Pelosi said.
Certain reporting by businesses that could be perceived as onerous -- that reporting requirement was delayed, partially to review how it would work and how it could be better.
It was not a delay of the mandate for the businesses, and there shouldnt be a delay of the mandate for individuals, Pelosi insisted.
The Obama administration announced last week that businesses with 50 or more full-time employees will be given an extra year to comply with the complex reporting requirements that could trigger penalties if those businesses dont provide affordable insurance to their full-time employees.
Those reporting requirements include how many full-time employees a company has, how many hours they work, and how much they pay for company-sponsored health insurance. Companies will be penalized for failing to provide affordable coverage and for shunting full-time employers into subsidized health insurance on the new Obamacare exchanges.
Practically speaking, the delay in collecting certain data from businesses means they will not face penalties until 2015. So while employers are encouraged to provide affordable insurance for their workers in 2014, there is no penalty if they dont. The employer mandate is therefore, in effect, delayed.
Just before the July 4 holiday, the Treasury Department announced in a blog post that the employer mandates reporting requirements under the law would be delayed until 2015..

They know they can lie and bullshit all they want and no one in the dominant media would dare criticize one of their ideological comrades.
It`s Game Over when you have a one party state.
“The Obama administration announced last week that businesses with 50 or more full-time employees will be given an extra year to comply with the complex reporting requirements...”
Right... because a small business with 5-10 employees has SO MUCH TIME to deal with this bullcrap paperwork. More benefits from hiring an executive with NO private sector business experience. An administration of idealogues, working out just great....
Technically, she is "correct". It is not "delayed", they just aren't going to enforce it.
So to go along with her "reasoning", the enforcement of the employer mandate is delayed (until after the 2014 elections to give the Dems a better chance of holding some House seats).
When Civil War 2.0 commences, she’s first!
Yep. Be a Democrat from a town where they’re convinced all Republicans are dog abusing polygamists who ship jobs to India and give people cancer.
Will they solve the employment problem by eliminating full time employees in favor of all part-time employees?
And the press a member of the party.
Two faced bitch.
Yeah, yeah. And a taco fart smell like Channel #5...
Brought to you by the party that will argue what the word “is” means.
It’s perfect for her!

Far, far worse. The 2014 penalities will STILL BE ASSESSED. They only delayed processing and collecting them in 2014. Companies will still owe the 2014 penalities, now with interest, on top of the 2015 penalties, all collected in 2015.
Don’t you mean “retarded, sir”
