You have to wonder why they were put in plastic. Because the police collected whatever it is and they didn't have a bag of any kind so they asked the people gathered there if anyone had a bag and someone gave them a plastic bag. I'm not making this up - I heard one of the police say this.

I seem to recall the request for a plastic bag during TM's resuscitation efforts, to seal the chest wound which was leaking air.
Someone please correct me if I am wrong about this event.

I'm not making this up - I heard one of the police say this. That was in regard to Trayvon's chest wound. The police were trying to do CPR, and they could hear a wheezing noise when they pressed on Trayvon's chest. So they asked for vaseline and a bag to use on the open wound to try and 'stop' the 'leak' of air.
They did not ask for bags for Trayvon's hands. They did not use plastic bags from the witnesses for his hands.
