How about doing away with DWI?

If you cause an WRECK while impaired, you are charged with attempted murder. If you kill someone while driving impaired, you face FIRST DEGREE MURDER. After all, you made the decision to drive impaired.

Get serious and knock of the harassment of citizens.

I could buy into this, if it was equally applied to all negligent driving. I had a friend killed on his way to work one morning, the other driver was busy texting and didn’t notice that traffic had stopped on the freeway. She rear ended my friend and he was killed instantly. He was survived by a wife and 3 children (6, 4 and 4 mos.)

That should be considered vehicular manslaughter, yet that driver never spent a day in jail. I would like to see all negligent driving treated equally, if a negligent driver causes physical or property damage to other parties, then they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, regardless of BAC.
