1) A gay marriage law is not going to pass the House.
2) Your real issue is going to be when Tadd and Todd move from New York to Georgia and claim the right to be "married" due to the Full Faith and Credit clause of the Constitution in the absence of DOMA. If gay marriage is forced down our throats, it will be by judicial fiat.
3) It will be interesting to see what the court does when Obama tries his stunt. I'd submit you could get away with it with a NY applicant, but not one in TN.

He doesn’t need to even try it in the South. Illinois would be sufficient.
Hey, maybe I’m wrong about it. I’d be very surprised if there wasn’t someone, say, within a week, married in say, VT, and moving to Illinois to try to over turn the law.
