Total signs outline deal on Cyprus LNG facility: sources

Military agreement (Cyprus/Russia)

"Moscow and Nicosia have reached an agreement over the use of the “Papandreou” air base in Paphos, in a similar arrangement that was agreed with France and Germany."

"The agreement will become effective immediately and be formally ratified when Russian President Vladimir Putin and President Nicos Anastasiadis next meet. The exact date for their meeting has yet to be finalised."

The new conservative president is making a wise move not only with their country resources - they’ll also have Russian/Israeli protection which they need at this point in time.
