A jury of six women, five of them white and the other a minority, was picked Thursday to decide the second-degree murder trial of George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer who says he shot an unarmed black teenager, Trayvon Martin, in self-defense.

Every trial lawyer worth his fee knows, going in, the kind of juror they want to get on the jury. Zimmerman also knew because his lawyer told him. I think this went great for them. An old lawyer once told me when I commented on the soft hearted proclivities of women jurors, "there is nothing colder than an old woman's heart." They will sympathize with Zimmerman's assessment of the situation im my opinion.
Totally agree, as another conservative woman.
The race baiters will use the simple fact of having no blacks to claim everything is rigged and invalid.
Then again, this case presents a scenario where someone is knocked to the ground with the assailant jumping on top, pressing the attack. If women worry about any sort of physical attack, being overpowered and forced to the ground has gotta be one of the most common concerns.
The defense only need convince one juror, the prosecution twelve.
Perhaps there will be some undercurrent in the defense strategy to help the jurors see Zimmerman as THEIR son, the victim... Or to see that Zimmerman is the type who would have protected them (jurors) from the criminal street thug type young people.

Not there yet. But look at what happened to South Africa. The dwindling Whites are unified but they’re outnumbered and outgunned. The same will happen to USA in 20 to 50 years. For the time being, the Left was able to successfully divide the White Women from the White Women and it’s no surprise that the birthrate among the Whites is 1.7 and dropping and that 2012 is the first time in modern American history that more White people are dying than the number of White babies being born.
Women are more likely than men to vote for Obama, and quite a few other things.
However - what’s the biggest difference is marital status.
It really depends on what women they have up there 12 married ladies with husbands, I’d be thrilled.
Don't sell women short. My sister served on an aggravated sexual assault case. She has a face that told the defense she might spare the perp, and a face that told the prosecution that she just might string him up herself.
The defense lawyer was a complete jerk and passed around really embarrassing photos of the victim pretty much shoving them in the jury's faces. It made my sister so mad that when he got to her she glared right through him. He momentarily lost his train of thought but he knew he had crossed the line.
In the jury room she and two others, one other woman and a man, carefully persuaded the rest to find the guy guilty and that he deserved the stiffest penalty, which was life in prison.
So, like I said, don't sell women short. Remember, the women who have been selected for Zimmerman's trial had to pass his lawyer's muster.
I’m banking on these women to do the right thing. I’m so confident, I went out and bought a six-pack of popcorn for the riots.

A defense attorney told me he likes having women on juries because emotion plays a greater role in deliberations rather than the facts—manipulation is key, as he said, if you can’t try the facts, try the feelings.
This will not bode well for George.

Women who are married lean slightly towards conservative. Women who are single unwed mothers are heavily liberal and Democrat.

I don’t have a problem with this jury.
Two whites and a Hispanic on OJ’s jury. Don’t know if it was a white or black Hispanic. I tend to agree with your assessment of white perceptions of black teens. If the door is opened to Trayvon’s background, it becomes a given. A wannabee perhaps, but that’s not the issue.
