Is there a (legitimate) reason to delay puberty? Why would one choose to have that for their child? Maybe I’m just really ignorant or naive, but I don’t understand this. Thanks.

There are some children with pituitary disorders or early-onset (precocious) puberty of unknown cause. So they can have a device implanted under the skin of the forearm that secretes hormones to reverse/delay puberty. Now, usually those kids are 6 or 8 yrs old.

I have read, however, that some are advocating the use of this to delay puberty in kids who are allegedly “gender confused” so that they can decide which sex they’d like to be before going thru puberty. Yuck.
