Dr. Krauthammer on Fox News Special Report during the All-Star Panel last night, Bret Baier said, "Charles Krauthammer, when the president says there's no 'there' there, it almost seemed that he was challenging reporters to say, 'No, really, there's no "there" there.'"
KRAUTHAMMER: The one advice I'd give to Republicans is stop calling it a huge scandal. Stop saying it's a Watergate. Stop saying it's Iran-Contra. Let the facts speak for themselves. Have a special committee, a select committee, the facts will speak for themselves, pile 'em on; but don't exaggerate, don't run ads about Hillary. It feeds the narrative of the other side that it's only a political event. It is not. Just be quiet and present the facts.
RUSH: Okay, so shhhhh. Don't say anything, folks. 'Cause all you're gonna do is make the independents mad, and they'll just run back to the Democrats. Don't pile on. Don't gloat. Don't say, "I told you so." Just let the facts speak for themselves, just shh, shh, shh, shh, it'll take care of itself. No matter what the Democrats do, no matter what they say about you, no matter what they say about us, you just shh, shh, don't say anything.

RUSH: Now, Charles Krauthammer on Fox last night said that we need to let the facts speak for themselves and that you people are making a mistake, Republicans are making a mistake, if you compare this to Watergate or if you compare this to Iran-Contra. Don't call Obama Nixon! You know, don't exaggerate. Don't run ads on Hillary. Just let the facts speak, 'cause if you do all that stuff, that's gonna feed the narrative that all you are is political, and that all you are is trying to defeat Obama politically and then people aren't gonna like you.
So with that in mind, let's go to sound bite number eight. It's the NBC Nightly News. The anchor, Brian Williams, was talking about the AP phone records scandal and the IRS targeting conservative groups.
WILLIAMS: As a lot of American adults not so fondly remember the last time the government was found looking into the phone calls of reporters and using the IRS for political purposes, it was the Nixon era. And while times have changed and circumstances are different, that subject came up at the Obama White House today as the administration now scrambles on several fronts.
RUSH: Oh. Brian Williams there just compared Obama to Nixon. Supposed back off, let the facts speak for themselves.

I have no use for him, either. His shameless shilling for John Roberts' "brilliant tactical maneuver" was barf-inducing.
As if we are supposed to take you seriously when you resort to calling someone Sour Kraut? I vote to put you front and center in the effort to expose this story. Be sure to flail your arms over your head and drool a little during your interview.
I don't mean to sound harsh but it will be much better if the conversation is kept to a serious tone is all I am saying.

The point of reminding viewers of Watergate, Iran-Contra, etc., is to point to the HYPOCRISY of how a Democrat is portrayed in a scandal, vs. a Republican in LESS-TREASONOUS ACTS being forced from Office, being humiliated Publicly, or having his career RUINED by innuendo and over-blown hype of non-public-impact acts.
If you don’t mind my butting in, that’s not much of an answer.
Kraut is almost always wrong with his first statements on anything. Then he comes out later and says some clarifying remarks that are right, but are 180 degrees from his initial statement.
Yet, I am told to celebrate him as some brilliant strategist.
I think that “gloating” before the victory is won seldom works. So let’s NOT go into a trash-talking happy-face mode when we should be asking:
(1) WHY was the “security” in Benghazi so feeble?
There was a theory floating around that our government had planned for Ambassador Stevens to be “captured” so he could be “exchanged” for the “blind sheik” in our prison. But the effort to “smoke” Stevens out of hiding killed him instead. Is there any evidence to support that theory?
(2) WHO made the decision to strip armed protection from the Ambassador? If not Hillary, then WHO did make that deadly decision?
(3) WHO ordered ALL the potential rescuers of our trapped Americans to “Stand down”? And WHO ordered that person to present that order — if not Obama?
(4) And was there anything to the story that the captain of one of our aircraft carriers was “officially” relieved of his command — at sea — because the captain said he would not accept the “stand-down” order relayed to him when Americans were dying?
(5) Who at the IRS knew (coordinated?) all of the improper audits that were directed at conservatives? WHOSE orders was that coordinator following?
(6) Who at the DOJ initiated the request for the AP phone records? WHAT reasons were prevented for violating our Constitution?
(7) What “favors” has Secretary Sebellius offered to companies regulated by HHS , if those firms will just “donate” (i.e.: be be shaken down) by HHS?

Stepping back and thinking about it, you can make an argument both ways.
Letting the narrative play out runs the risk of having it shut down. The Media is mad, but they will let it slide eventually.
Having Rush and others make a big deal about it runs the risk of having it become partisan, and therefore forcing the media to shut it down.
Either way, it appears that we assume that the Republicans can not control the narrative. Which is why I fear not much will happen.
Hope I am wrong.
Yup! He’s generally wrong about most things - his intuition stinks. He castigated Sarah Palin for her “death panel” remarks - look where that got us.

Charles is giving good advice. Obama is the center of attention again. Don’t let the progressives switch the story to “right wing attack racists”. Stay objective and avoid baseless speculation and ad hominem attacks. Don’t count your eggs before they hatch.

Krauthammer needs to go pound salt, and STFU. Politics needs to be damned, and the Obozo administration needs to be called up on the carpet to account for all of these treasonous acts.
He has moments of clarity and insight. But these “stuck on stupid” moments as well.
Even Lindsay Graham has great moments, but not too often.
We’re gonna be accused of being partisan and of “jumping up and down” and “screaming” regardless of what we do - so we might as well jump up and down and scream and keep it in the news. There will NEVER EVER EVER NEVER be a polite circumspect enough approach on our part to avoid the partisan criticism. This is where Krauthammer is blitheringly naive.
And conservatives will wet themselves to be tossed that bone.
Then everything will go back to normal. The press may try to sting him a bit, but they are going to stop before doing any real damage.
While I usually agree with CK, on this we would have to disagree.
We have lost so many elections and even those we have won have been with milktoast candidates.
The dems, since they have been taken over by the communist progressives, do not debate using Marquess of Queensberry rules and they kill us.
We constantly allow them to define the terms of the debate and they do have great wordsmiths who can fabricate words with either no meaning or actually mean the opposite.
This is time for bare knuckles, kicks to the groin, bitch slapping...
I hope the Tea Party somehow revives itself and finds another champion similar to Glenn Beck to rally the troops. They know, or at least did know, how to fight progressives.
Come on we are fighting people who believe in killing babies even after they are born, give aid and comfort to Muslims, are willing to trade our country for votes from criminal trespassers, use every government agency possible to attack us... the time for Mr. Nice guy is long past.
