Saudi National in Colorado Prison may have himself a Bank Account problem
Shoebat Foundation ^ | May 4, 2013

We’re beginning to learn some details about why there has been renewed interest in a Saudi national serving an 8 years-to-life prison sentence in Colorado for enslaving and sexually assaulting an Indonesian minor. Some of those details appear to involve Homaidan al-Turki’s large bank account, coupled with large purchases at the prison canteen that couldn’t have possibly been solely for himself.

Al-Turki was briefly a person of interest after the murder of Colorado’s prison chief Tom Clements on March 19th. One week earlier, al-Turki’s request to be transferred to Saudi Arabia had been denied by Clements.

That interest seemed to fade when Evan Ebel was killed in a shoot-out with police on March 21st. Ebel, a member of a white prison gang named 211 Crew, was the most likely suspect in Clements’ murder; the weapon used in that murder was found in Ebel’s car.

Now, a little more than a month later, interest in al-Turki is rising again, not just because of his rather large bank account but because he has apparently been spending quite a bit of money on others.

I sure hope Walid Shoebat has got himself good security. He must be one of the most hated people in the Muslim world.

He ordered seven large pizzas on Feb. 5, seven more on Feb. 27 and eight pizzas on March 19. Al-Turki also frequently bought shampoo, ice cream and other snack food in large quantities.
Since January, he has spent thousands of dollars at the Limon Correctional Facility canteen.

We really are becoming Mexico.
I can see some money differences, like being able to buy cigarettes and a can of sardines, but being able to buy pizzas and ice cream for the ward? Kings and King makers, large pizzas on demand, in quantity?

California has already revealed cells and sentences, and treatment for the rich and celebrity.

“... large purchases at the prison canteen...”

Prisoners have bank accounts and large quantities of money available? I had no idea.

The bank accounts they are talking about sound like the canteen accounts that usually the relatives of the inmates deposit to for the inmates to buy snacks and hygene products. The incentive units (the units that house non-troublemakers) are allowed to buy food from a designated local restaurant about once a week.

I had no idea that prison was like that; thanks. Sounds like BSA Summer Camp in the 50s. Heh.

Interesting is that Alwaleed bin-Talal is calling for his release...

Alwaleed bin-Talal is part owner of FOX NEWS CHANNEL (NewsCorp)

The Al Turki family is quite a prominent Saudi family

Thanks for posting.

A couple of points: His family sends him money because in Saudi Arabia, prisoners must be supported by their families, otherwise they will have incredibly miserable lives while in the clink. A buddy of mine was imprisoned in Riyadh for @ 6 weeks (without trial) for selling wine to a Muslim. — I got to see the conditions he lived in when visiting him... not pretty.

The other point is that this guy must buy himself protection. If he grew up privileged enough in Saudi to study overseas, he was probably very pampered and totally unprepared to deal with street level criminals in America. Just cut off his account, and he will have to buy his protection with other favors....

Which begs the question, what is the return favor for a slice of pizza?

How many cases of KY did he buy to pass out as party favors during the screening of Lawrence of Arabia.

I can’t get decent pizza in Texas. Maybe I should bring a gun to New York, get arrested, and finally have a long-term supply of it.
