Tennessee Republican Rep. Marsha Blackburn will lead a House delegation to Britain to attend the funeral of former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher on Wednesday.
Announced by House Speaker John Boehners office Monday, the trip marks a culmination of Republican accolades for Thatcher following her death last week. Thatchers conservative policies and close relationship with President Reagan won her widespread support within the GOP.
Margaret Thatcher was one of the greatest champions freedom has ever known, and her funeral gives Americans and friends around the world an opportunity to pay final respects, Boehner said in a statement.
The delegation also includes Reps. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) and George Holding (R-N.C.).
Bachmann has long expressed her respect for Thatcher, going so far as to proclaim in an interview last year with USA Today that I want to be Americas Margaret Thatcher. I will be the next Iron Lady.

cspan2 carrying the feed
Nope, nothing on BBCA this morning, but I caught most of the CSPAN feed.
CSPAN says it will air a repeat Sunday night at 9:00 ET.
By DVR listing CSPAN is supposed to replay today at 4:15, 12 hours after the start.
Thank you!
SIGH looks like guides are lying again!
No funeral. Maybe they meant live at 4:15 AM, but programmed erroneously at PM! Ggggrrrrr!
I can’t stand that. Those guides are wrong SO often.
For what it’s worth, this morning CSPAN said they will repeat the funeral at 9 p.m. Eastern on Sunday. We’ll see....
Thanks for the info. I’ll keep checking.
