I grew up with Danny Thomas and all the good guys we had back then.
Just to people without a sense of humor.
So did I. St. Jude’s is a marvelous hospital. Just saying that these days it’s hard to find people who aren’t on the homosexual bandwagon.
Change the wording from “religious grounds” to “conscientious grounds”, so libs could refuse money to religious and military groups; explain it as such, and the libs would probably go for it.
I happen to have a geat sense of humor, but calling members of the Corps of Cadets names when you have not earned that right isn't funny. It just makes you an a$$hole.
Or a tard
Q. What do you call an Aggie, five years after graduation?
A. Boss
Just jealous.
Let him be.
And Gig ‘em.
Kicking off the GLBT’s but keeping the Corp? Doesn’t make sense to me. Oh well, that’s why they have Aggy jokes.
Are you a member of the Corps of Cadets or have you ever been?
Srsly?
No, it’s an inside TAMU Corps tongue and cheek thing said in jest. Cadets there refer to band queers and homo yell leaders with regularity. I seriously doubt any of them support the homo group mentioned, except for the few closet homos in the Corps.
I've NEVER heard that *joke*, ever. I don't know what your problem is with TAMU, Corps or the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band, but you've crossed the line.
It IS NOT a TAMU joke, so don't use that as your excuse.
My son is a fish in Gator 2 and earned Guidon Brother status last week. He is in the final four for Guidon Bearer and will be notified next week.
I am Class of '86 but was a non-reg architecture student. I still regret not being in the Corps.
My father was First Group Commander in '59 and was in Squadron 2. He was awarded a DMS.
My Grandfather was Class of '39 (not sure what outfit, but everyone was Corps back then) and served as a combat engineer in Europe in WWII.
My Great-Grandfather got his Master of Economics there in '23.
I may not have been in the Corps, but I have a lot of respect for those that are/were.
How 'bout you, sport?
My son was in the Corps. Graduated Class of ‘05. Ask your dad and son what a “BQ” is, slick. I’ll bet they chuckle when you ask.
Arguments like this one prove beyond any doubt tht College in America is now a complete waste of time and money.
I don’t have to ask them, I know what a “BQ” is. If your son is ‘05, you should know better than insulting the Corps in a forum where it will be taken out of context.
r-q,
Chill. Don’t feed the troll. True Freepers should be applauding A&M’s student senate, even if it was a meaningless gesture (i.e., if the student body president doesn’t veto it, this is only a recommendation that Bowtie is likely to ignore and hope the whole politically incorrect situation goes away).
Personally, I’m hoping that A&M moves up in the Princeton Review rankings from 7th most gay unfriendly university to first or second.
Gig ‘Em
Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of ‘83

Give to the Institute for Justice! They are on the front line in the fight against government thuggery.

Back to the subject, when I was in the Corp in the 80's, there was a story out of a former CT who had a "sex change" to "become a woman." Pretty out there, but the propaganda and attempts to soften society to this perversion were in full attack mode even then.
