Interesting information. Thanks for posting.
It looks as thought the ammunition shortage is easing up a bit in WA State, still restricted to two boxes, but at least that is something.
Vt and Pa are a surprise.
(Ahem!)
Lookie where this plain ole flat state of Indiana places.
It may be “corny” in some respects, but if you’re away from the major urban areas (Gary/Hammond & Marion County/Indy) it does have some advantages.
And! We don’t have one of those silly “helmet laws” either.
I live in MA. What can I say? It’s insane.
#7. Not bad. “May issue” is a concern, there was, I thought, legislation to enact “shall issue”. Need to do away with permits altogether. I don’t need a permit to exercise my Rights. Carrying concealed without permit is misdemeanor tho, so that’s cool. Screw ‘em really. Just pay the fine.
My absolute biggest concern, and this affects all States, is Gun Free School Zone. You’re carrying a firearm, any firearm, in your vehicle and pass within 1000 feet of school property, then you are a felon.
I had a conversation with the City prosecutor about this and he said I don’t know what I’m talking about. Well, I do. I told him I didn’t appreciate being a felon everytime I leave the house.
“...Virginia is a Stand Your Ground state.”
I believe Va is NOT considered a ‘Stand Your Ground state’ but maybe it depends on definitions.
Don’t feel bad Californians.
The Brady Bunch still thinks you’re #1

You do know my heart goes out to you, right? ☺
Mississippi might move up after july 1st
LOL! Hi, deo! So nice to see you. :)
Lol, God, I hate this state.
PA is a surprise, as I believe we have more NRA members than any other state by far, and also believe that the number of gun owners here is extremely high, and higher than the article says. The Hamburg Cabela’s is the largest gun store in the entire world....that alone speaks volumes IMO. PA is a guns state. 20th? Hard to believe.
The criteria used to evaluate the States as far as friendly to gun ownership are absurd.
I simply do not see their correlation.
The sad part is that in the 60s and the early 70s, it truly was a wonderful place.
California (at least in my lifetime) has always been a bellwether for the US as a whole.
We’re just a decade or two behind ya.
We ranked 23rd by these criteria, and I’d say that’s probably about right. Lot of good gun-rights laws, but still a long way to go. The fight for freedom is never-ending.
The Democrats in WA love to pass unenforceable acts. They dont’ allow the sale of drugs near a school, either, but it is seldom enforced. They raided a house right across from a grade school a few years back, when they were confiscating houses and cars, and left the house because it was in the guy’s mother’s name.
I looked at the writer’s bio and he is an expert pistol marksman. I am sure he knows that well.
He must be only talking about handguns. I still do not think the listings sounc credible.
