Night streets are dark and stoney
When you've got no shoes on your feet.
Day streets are drab and lonely
When the sun shuts off it's heat.
Well the people passin' they don't really care
Cause they're lost in their own world.
Don't you mess with them, don't you get in their hair
Or you'll be sorry son, that's the word.
You know you don't have the time to fight
And you don't think that it's right
So you stick out your hand to the next lonely man
And it looks like he's ready to fight.
Dark nights are full of surprises
When you've got no where to go,
Bright lights distort peoples sizes
Don't forget who's fronting the show.
There's danger in the air tonight
There's fireworks ready to crack,
Don't set off no fuse, don't get in the way,
Or you'll be sorry son, that's a fact.
You know you don't have the time to fight
And you don't think that it's right
So you stick out your hand to the next lonely man
And it looks like he's ready to fight.
