Romney: ‘It kills me’ not to be in White House
yahoo ^ | march 3, 2013 | Dylan Stableford

Posted on 03/03/2013 10:10:39 AM PST by lowbridge

Mitt Romney says it "kills" him that he's not president. But he doesn't blame Superstorm Sandy, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie or anything else on his loss to President Barack Obama--except his campaign's failure to connect with minority voters.

“I lost my election because of my campaign," Romney said on "Fox News Sunday" in his first television interview since his November defeat, "not because of what anyone else did."

The former Massachusetts governor refused place blame on Christie, who some Republicans say elevated Obama in his embrace of the president in the wake of the storm.

Romney said his inability to win over black and Hispanic voters--and the damage done by those disastrous "47 percent" comments--ultimately derailed his White House bid.

Ann Romney, though, pointed the finger at the fourth estate. “It was not just the campaign’s fault," Ann Romney said. "I believe it was the media's fault as well, in that he was not being given a fair shake--that people weren’t allowed to really see him for who he was. ... I’m happy to blame the media.”

She added: “I totally believe at this moment, if Mitt were there in the office, that we would not be facing sequestration right now."

Norm has decided that he's the only one who has principles.

He will never understand he owns the fact that Bambi is continuuing to destroy this country because of his "purity".

Without him and so many others swallowing the bait from Axelrod so fully (Norm, it was called "operation demoralize", you swallowed it totally, congrats.), we wouldn't be watching this man take over the US using his Chavez tactics. More spending, more lies, more devaluuing of the currency, more demoralziation of the military, more destruction of the free enterprise system, more coddling to Mooslimbs, more gun grabbing. You name it, it's been done since Bambi won, and Norm will never own up to his idiocy in helping the Axelrod chorus win for the left.

Norm will never understand what a fool he was, he's typical of those who bought the lie and are proud of it. It's sickening, and he (and a few others) runs around preening like a Peacock on FR as the country circles the drain. Norm: "Barock, Barock...I'mpure, I'mpure"

And who has TAUGHT them to want these things?

I don't know. I attended public schools and state universities and I was never taught to want those things nor were any of my siblings.

I would have to give a crap about re-reading posts from a self-proclaimed genius who has hidden like a miserable coward behind a complete inability to debate like the heavyweight he claims to be.

Your logic escapes *you*. It comes out of an orifice you don’t seem to have much control over.

Hey,"Norm"...you seem to know everything there is to know about "Romney Care".Tell me...have you ever set foot in Massachusetts, let alone lived here? If you're curious you can take a second to peek at my profile where you'll learn of my association with the state.I put it to you that you don't know 2% of the story behind "Romney Care".All you know is that Romney was Governor when it was enacted. In other words...unless I'm very much mistaken you don't have the first friggin clue.

Let me know when you want a lesson on Massachusetts politics over the last 20+ years.I think I can give you some sort of idea what it's been all about in about 100,000 words.

As always in these tender moments we share together, I will note that until you can explain how supporting a leftist advances conservatism, all you can do is make excuses for your decision to help destroy it.

Stomp those widdle feet all you want lake. You have yet to do anything but rehash the GOP line that we must move left to ‘win’.

Not my fault you aren’t smart enough to understand that supporting the guy whose claim to political fame is being more gay friendly than Ted Kennedy, a cash donating supporter of the abortion industry and a gun grabber....is a pretty liberal thing to do.

So please. Rehash all your arguments that failed yet again. It helps thin the herd since there are less of you here by the day. But the GOP sites pushing Jeb and Christe could use someone with your level of denial and willingness to ignore basic conservative truths.

Yup. Been there. Sorry. A few times actually and not by choice.

Please. defend your hero more. Tell us how great life under Romney was for the people of Mass. Then tell us why he would have been good for the other 56 states with a straight face.

You know the answer Norm, it's been given to you over and over again. The idea that Romney was the same as Bambi came straight from Axelrod and the pit of Hell, and you're too gullible to understand that. You know I was never a fan of Romney, you know what I said. I opposed him adamantly until he won the nomination, I reluctantly stopped because we were staring at the gates of Hell if Bambi won again, and I did that alongside of Palin, Newt, Cain, Santorum, Rush, Levin, and every other conservative who had a brain. The alternative was simply unthinkable, Bambi had to lose. You know that, but you're too stubborn (and pure in your own eyes) to be capable of repeating it to me.

I'm not stomping my feet, I'm simply really angry about those like you who are too stupid to know they were played.

You made an ass out of yourself, helped reelect Bambi, helped the country go down the toilet, and you continue to preen as if that's a good thing, I mean *phew* we sure dodged a bullet by not having Romney the RINO squish as president.

*rolls eyes* Congrats, I'm sure Axelrod will give you a star or two on your forehead now......

Yup. Been there. Sorry. A few times actually and not by choice.

Been here a few times...not by choice? Color me stunned.I'll save you the trouble of reviewing my profile by letting you know that I was born here...as was most of historical family (the rest are from New Hampshire and Connecticut) and apart from my time in the Armed Forces I've lived my *entire* life here.AMA I'm old enough to remember 25 cents-a-gallon gas and nickel candy bars.

Please. defend your hero more.

I'll "defend" him when you prove to me that I've declared him to be my hero. You need look no further than a previous post of mine in this very thread in which I refer to him as "imperfect".If I had expanded on that I would have said *very* imperfect.Romney wasn't my first choice...he wasn't my second. And he's *not* my hero. What I know...and I know this from having watched Osama Obama *very* closely for the last 5 years and having seen Romney "up close and personal" for a longer period of time than you've been aware of his existence...is that, although *very* imperfect,Romney is light years ahead of Bill Ayers' favorite student in terms of decency, respectability and trustworthiness...among other things.

Light years ahead does not make him conservative, a good leader etc. He lost the unloseable election to a communist. That should tell you how wrong he is for the office. All you supporters did succeed in greenlighting the GOP’s leap left though. So congrats on that.

If he’s not your hero then why defend him? Why make yourself look like a fool? Do you WANT his abortion BS? Do you WANT his gay boy scouts/military/marriage?

Sorry. Better than Obama still is a friggin disaster. And not something anyone with a lick of sense can defend.

The preening purists (like Norm) who were played like fiddles by the left: "Barock, Barock....I'msopure....I'msopure........"

And the country circles the drain as they congratulate themselves with their squawking.

You coulda’ at least posted the GrumpyCat pic. The thing is Lake, in order for the Alynski mockery rule to work effectively, you sorta gotta be good at it. You aren’t.

But I’m sure the founders of the country whom you seem to think were so wrong with that whole ‘purity’ and principles’ thing were preening peacocks too. Not my fault I believe what they said and you oh so clearly don’t.

Nah, the peacock is perfect for you Norm.

The founders would be horrified at what you did. Palin, Newt, Santorum, Bachmann, Rush and Levin (and any conservative with a brain) are horrified at what you did. You should be horrified at what you did, but you're too busy looking at those beee autiful feathers of yours. You strut like a peacock, screeching about some mythical purity that was invented by David Axelrod.

How are those stars on your forehead Norm?

Kindly GFY, there is no use for a washed up Axelrod conservative such as you.

Whatever allows you to continue looking at yourself in the mirror I guess. BTW, is “GFY” something you got from your time with the liberals? Because I don’t remember all those conservative types you mentioned blurting it out when they were at a loss for an honest arguement.

Pix and vulgarity. That’s the best they taught you at DU?
