What’s it about? can you describe it? I’m not a big fan of going to youtube without some idea of what I’m going to see.

This guy sounded interesting until he brought up “The high probability of climate change is real...” at which point I swore at the screen and stopped the video.

We need the “Geez! Not this sh_t again!” guy photo.

I was hoping he would show a washing machine that used degassed water, or even demineralized water to clean.

To explain, when you remove the gasses from water, nitrogen, oxygen and others, it is an extremely effective solvent. These gases actually protect oils from being dissolved in the water, so removing them makes water such a good cleaning agent that soap or detergent is not needed.

A degassed dishwasher would have to be small, because it would clean in a near vacuum. While the vacuum was being created, it would also degas the water, then spray the water on the dishes, that would then drip off, taking the mess with it, or boil off, leaving the dishes clean. The goop that had been cleaned off would be a dry mess on the bottom of the inside of the machine.

Demineralized water is incredibly corrosive, so would only be used for extremely hard, burn on deposits. It would leave pots looking like new, however.

We shopped for a new washing machine about 2 years ago. I looked in each and was amazed to find that the agitator arm was missing. I asked the sales rep, “There’s no agitator; how will the clothes get clean?” and he said, “By rubbing up against each other.”
