Well, Fox News needed to fill the void left by Sarah Palin's absence ... so the network hired Herman Cain as a contributor, it announced today. Cain, the former president and CEO of Godfather's Pizza, will also contribute to the Fox Business Network. He says he's looking forward to the job because it is "an opportunity to be one more voice for intelligent thinking in America." Fox has been shuffling its contributor lineup since the election, also recently hiring Dennis Kucinich and Scott Brown.
Not really surprising since the major announcers on WSB radio in Atlanta (where his show is based)have signed on to work for CNN.
Mark Levin will be on regularly as well. There I said it!
Our local station opted to have Michael Smerconish take over the void left by Boortz’ retirement instead of Herman Cain.
What a boob Smerconish is!
Cain should have remained on your station. Too bad he isn’t. Boortz left exactly one month ago on the 18th of January. He currently does a daily podcast.
Nice move Fox. For real.
Now get rid of Karl Rove.
What difference, at this point, does it make?
Erudition by sound bite is impossible.
No one who should hear him will be listening, anyway.

RADIO CONSERVATIVE TALK CHECKERBOARD
Cain took over Boortz’s rebroadcast 2pm spot locally here in central Wisconsin (1010 AM) following Rush’s(live) 3 hours (on 550 AM) 2 pm sign off here. Hannity (live) on that same frequency has been followed till 5pm when Levin (live) who took over Savage’s spot comes on. Levin used to follow Boortz on 1010 but 1010’s am signal fades after sundown. So does 550’s then you switch to 99.9 FM to pickup Levin till he’s “bimped” (Anybody remember Peter Sellars and George Sanders?) by sports.
I weary of Hannity putting on Rove and his bunch of supporters and “Libs” have switched over to listening to Cain at that time. But for some reason Cain show doesn’t seem to have the depth he did have before he announced his candidacy.

Herman Cain endorses Gang of 8 illegal alien amnesty plan - and says ‘it’s not amnesty’ - and boom he gets a slot on FoxNews. What a, um, surprise.
Really? I know Mark doesn't like to do TV a lot, but has he changed his mind?
Stopped watching FNC, glad that I did with this addition. Does he still have his “999 Plan”? He was in way over his head. When he denide having something on the side Ms. White, I knew that he was guilty. You see, back in the day, a “High Yellow Woman”, got and received all of the attention.
Cain had a talk show on WSB for long time, but had to come off the air to run for president. His nighttime show was taken over by Eric Ericsson, leaving no time slot until boortz left.
I AM a fan of Mr. Cain and as a replacement for Neal Boortz, he sucks.
Herman Cain was never, ever, ever meant to host a radio talk show. It's painful to listen to him, IMO.

I am generally not a fan of any politician being a pundit, whether conservative or liberal. Who pays attention to pundit Palin, anymore? Cain is not able, either. They’re just part of the babble, now.
Most politicians are not pithy enough to be good television analysts. They are used to speaking for ten or fifteen minutes, not fifteen seconds. Politicians don’t have the time or inclination to regularly write and think about the issues. They are doers, not philosophers.
Moreover, their punditry is usually too cautious. Politicians are always tempted to return to the profession that made them famous. In the back of their minds, they don’t to offend anybody in the audience or leave a gaffe trail that future opponents might seize upon.
I also love Fox News at 4:59am, they now play the National Anthem.
